"Ridiculous! Why do you say it's already too late?" Williams nearly let out a yell. He wasn't serious when he requested his daughter; he didn't anticipate Delbert actually sending her.
"He won't let me go back" Helpless, Deena said.
"Hmmm, why?"
"Because he loves me," Deena said.
"Eh!" Williams' eyes widened in perplexity. What kind of father would send his own daughter to become someone else's slave because he loves her? Did this girl fall and hit her head or something?
Williams' eyes were filled with perplexity, and Deena realized she needed to explain something. "My father was only a servant 18 years ago. One day, his master called him and offered him a chance that would change his life in exchange for a request. No commoner would ever turn down the chance to become a noble, even if it meant killing a thousand people."
"What did he demand?"
"That I would become his bride." Deena said venomously.
