Chapter 4 - Plea

"By the love of Alra! What you suggest is insane, Ashenchesa! The taint of Fehtl can still remain dormant within him. Imagine how many sisters he'll slaughter if his bloodlust will re-awaken! Instead of turning into our ally, he will become our end. And all of those years you were speaking and sharing your body with him?!"

"Yes, Your Perfection, but he is no longer the monster that you've captured. He used to be a great healer before the taint took him and his rage is now kept well under control. Wisdom and restraint govern him after all the time spent in regret of his actions. The fact he still lives after all these centuries may only mean that the goddess has kept him alive for a reason!"

"You do not speak for the Goddess my dear! And that… Man… Seem to have possessed your thoughts to break out of our prison. He played you like a child. The first opportunity he gets you will find him cutting your chest open and devouring your heart as he did to the others. Remember the sacrifice of your sisters! They gave their souls to save the world in the last conflict. Would you betray them and have it undone?!"

"No! I would have it preserved for he wishes nothing but our salvation and destruction upon our enemies! He loves me and besides, he loves all that we are! The risk of us losing this war weighs heavily upon him but the fear of losing me makes him all the more restless. He wants to help us!"

"He loves you? Are you sure of it..?"

"Yes. I know it. And he cannot let us be wiped out by that which controlled him. He wants revenge."

Queen Shaldara sighs and sinks into her white throne, leaning her temple and jaw against her fingers while opening her legs wide for Ashenchesa to clearly see a white-haired muff with a perky clit between them.

"No demon of Fehtl is capable of deceit or love. She finally concludes. Yet you mentioned revenge? It is an emotion born out of anger, not love. Perhaps being mortal left him capable of lies. And even if he is sincere, what if he loses that restraint and becomes possessed by savagery again? He is a man after all, just like Fehtl and his demons. If he turns against us we might not be capable to stop him this time."

"The death deserts consume more and more of our life groves as we speak. The sisters are barely able to hold their ground while cowering at the first sight of a stronger enemy. Domenic knows what needs to be done! He led warriors before!"

"Forget it. I cannot risk his release, let alone trust him our precious few bow-maids and allow them into our enemy's islands. We always fought defensively and we always endured."

Ashenchesa stands up from kneeling in front of the queen's feet and rises her tone even further when addressing Shaldara.

"It is different now and you know it! If we allow our enemies to strike us where and when they feel like it then we are only postponing the inevitable. We must bring the battle back into their territory!"

"I said no, Ashenchesa! Have faith in the Goddess and our sisters. Besides, be prepared. You may soon be called to defend the frontline islands."

"Shaldara, listen! They will trample us like kittens if we…"

With a speed so unnatural for her voluptuous body that it sent the queen's large motherly breasts swinging high up and having a lengthy jiggle on a fall, Shaldara suddenly stood up to Ashenchesa's protest and spread her double swan-like wings wide while raising her voice above that of her subject's.

"Do not call me by name, maid! We are done here. Return to Pessel and give word to Anaora. Her warriors too may be called upon soon. We must hold the line."

Ashenchesa raises her chin high and perks her chest up tightening her knuckles, almost copying the stance of the queen, albeit not having wings of her own to spread in return.

The guards tilt their spears down in preparation to prevent further hostility from the bow-maid, looking between each other. Ashenchesa looked at them back baring her teeth.

"Oh, I will defend the islands of Alra, whether you call me to do it or not. She says while turning around and walking towards the palace's exit."

Queen Shaldara eyed the back of the leaving warrior up and down, focusing on the motion of muscular yet ample buttocks, covered only on the sides by dark-blue thigh-plates. Her wings lower as her face turns numb.

"Bring her back to my chamber. I will speak with this one privately. Stay close though if I might need some help with her temper." - the queen says to her guards.

"Nobody talks to me with such fiery disrespect…"
