Chapter 8 - CHAPTER 8

She then returned to collect her national I. D, which was already out, and she was relieved after doing all of this. The only thing that was left was to apply for a passport, as she was looking forward to leaving the country one of the days.

Diamond decided to stop at the Orkney Charity Organization branch that helps charities or individuals in the aspect of finding organizations or forming one. She spent two hours there receiving explanations about what should be or shouldn't be done.

She met a loving older woman who was very open, so she understood everything that was said on that day.

She took the lady's contact as she was planning on registering her in a charity organization when everything was sorted out.

The next stop she made was at an employment agency. She was looking for a housekeeper who would work at least full-time at the villa. There was no way she was going to manage that whole house by herself.

She met the lady in charge and discussed in full detail regarding the type of housekeeper that she wanted. She paid a deposit for the job and left for Cherry Court.

When she arrived home, it was around five and just right for her to make preparations to go to Cecilia's house.

One hour later

Diamond was seated with Cecilia and her husband at the same table. The kids were at their grandpa's so they were not available. The other people present were the maids who were busy doing their own things.

"Thank you for the invitation. I am truly grateful!" Diamond thanked the couple.

Cecilia flashed a smile at Diamond and said, "It's not a big deal. We are all family, and getting to know each other is just a start. We ...."

Diamond got to find out that Cecilia was a talkative person, but she was very lovely and warm. She was a housewife, which wasn't a bad thing because her husband Frank was a rich man who was doing import and export business.

The couple had two children, the oldest being twelve and the young one seven years old.

She also got to know the other neighbors from Cecilia and, to be honest, she was looking forward to seeing them.

Villa number 1 is owned by a mysterious person who was rarely seen, so there wasn't much news about that. Villa number 2 was owned by a doctor who worked at St John's private hospital, one of the best hospitals in Athary, and the doctor was married and gay.

She wasn't a racist, homophobic, or discriminator. Whatever an individual loved, she would fully support. After all, she was someone with a dirty mind herself and just thinking of the possibility of having a harem of her own.

Won't she receive criticism herself in the future? So why bother minding other people's business?

Villa number 3 was owned by herself, so there wasn't much to talk about on that. Villa number 4 was owned by a female celebrity, and when Diamond heard the name, she wasn't surprised at all.

That female celebrity was very popular and she earned a lot from movies, commercials, and other work that she received.

Villa number 5 was owned by Cecilia and her family, and currently, she knew enough about them.

What was left now was to meet these neighbors, but that would be in the future. Diamond stayed at Cecilia's house for two hours before she returned to her own villa.

Looking at the mess in the pantry, she sighed and went to change into some working clothes first before starting the heavy lifting and arranging the food items.

By the time she was done, she was so tired that she didn't immediately go to sleep, but signed in first and received another reward that made her feel excited.

[Rewarded with ****** farm.]

To think that she had received a farm this time, she was so happy that all her tiredness disappeared.

'With this, I now have an income source. I just need to check the situation of the farm first to see where I will go from here.'

In the end, Diamond still managed to sleep, and she had a beautiful dream.

The next morning, she had a morning jog again and Cecilia was nowhere to be found, but that was okay.

While eating breakfast, she received a phone call from the employment agency and the news was very good.

She drove first to meet the employment agency manager who showed her several resumes, which Diamond went through. In the end, she picked three candidates and set a date to interview them.

After that, she used her car's GPS to drive toward the farm, which was in the opposite direction of where Cherry Court was.

It took her over an hour to reach the road that led to the farms. The area was more of a farm area and the roads were not particularly good, but with a good car like hers; she was at ease as she drove through the gravel road.

She reached the farm after driving a distance of 20km and entered the gates. She parked in front of an old house and there was someone else waiting for her, too.

She didn't call anyone that she was coming as she practically didn't have anything or contact information for the previous owner.

"I was hoping that someone would come today and I guess my bet was right. You must be either the new owner or a representative! I am Mr. Thomas, the previous owner. Welcome!"

Diamond didn't expect to come across such an interesting man and, seeing his unusual and warm welcome, she decided to show the same attitude toward him.

"Thank you for the welcome. I am Diamond Perry, the new owner," she responded to the man.

Of course, Mr. Thomas knew the name, it was just that he didn't know the face, and seeing the person now; he was quite surprised since the other was very young.

"I don't have much time remaining as I have things to do, so I will show you around," the man volunteered, getting straight to the point, and she agreed.
