Diamond raised her head upon hearing footsteps approaching. When she saw who had just walked in, a smile blossomed on her face as she wiped away the tears streaming down her cheeks.
Rising on her feet, she happily called out, "Mother and father! Welcome back!"
At hearing their daughter's enthusiastic welcome, the couple smiled at her as they responded, "Dear. How was your day?"
"It couldn't be any better. And yours?" she asked as she approached them.
"It was all fine. Thanks for asking."
Diamond beamed at her parents as she took the bags from them before leading them to the sofas where the two sat down and Diamond sat on the carpet again.
Once everyone was seated, Diamond made the introductions.
"Mom and Dad, meet Auntie Grace. The one I told you about," Diamond smilingly introduced. "Auntie Grace, meet my parents."
