Although she didn't have millions in her bank account, Diamond's net worth was already in that category. Her house alone was worth a huge figure, and she couldn't bear to let her family know about it.
She didn't know how they would react, so taking things a bit slower than she wanted would not kill.
Her main purpose of getting out was to buy some gifts for her family, and the main gift that left the three in awe was how casual Diamond was when she told them about buying a car.
Diamond had less than a million in her bank account, but the money was good enough to purchase a good car.
So, their first stop was at a car dealer, where they all spent a great deal of time quarreling and not agreeing on the type of car they had to buy.
In the end, Diamond picked a silver sedan that was priced at around A$200,000 and paid in full. As she made a full payment, she received a cash discount, saving her some money in return.
After purchasing the car, Richard drove the car proudly out of the garage and headed for the shopping mall.
At the shopping mall, the first stop was at a computer shop where Diamond bought two laptops, one for Ruby and one for her parents. She also bought new cell phones for her family members, as the ones they had were outdated.
After purchasing these, they went on to buy some clothes, shoes, bags, and jewelry. They spent almost the whole day shopping and doing some family bonding at the same time.
They didn't return home after shopping but went to a restaurant for some supper. No one was in the mood to cook after having such a crazy day.
When the Perry family returned home in their new car, they attracted a lot of attention and became a topic of the neighborhood, something that lasted a very long time.
The next day, Diamond followed her family to church, where they spent around three hours before going back home in the new car.
At home, after a light lunch, the family of four sat together as they bonded again. At the same time, Diamond raised an issue that had been bugging her for some time.
"Mother and father, how about you retire early? Your daughter can afford to raise you and, to be honest, I don't want to see you working so hard and suffering. If you really love working though, I will open something for you. What do you think?"
As a child, Diamond only wanted the best for her family. She knew how well capitalists were and how scheming those people were. The measly peanuts her parents get after toiling so hard wasn't worth it.
She would rather raise them than let them continue working.
The two looked at the daughter with love and warmth in their eyes.
Richard was the one who answered and his voice was very calm and soothing, "Child, we understand where you are coming from. To be honest, we are very proud that you made it and can finally take care of yourself and us included. As long as you are happy, that is all that matters."
"Yes, we have been working for decades and although I can feel that my body is doing perfectly fine, it's best if we don't risk it. Since you want us to rest, then we will consider taking a vacation and taking good care of Ruby," Belinda added.
Richard nodded his head as he listened to his wife speak.
"That's good then. I will send your allowance every month and when you think of what business you want to do, tell me and I will gather the capital needed," Diamond was very happy as she said this.
Ruby also flashed a smile at her sister before saying, "Big sister, can I come and live with you when I write my 'A' Level exams?"
"Sure, you can and if you manage to enter any university, whether in Frin or another city, big sister will still support you."
Ruby grinned happily upon hearing that, "Then I will work hard and not disappoint you."
"I will be waiting."
The family of four practically spoke about their future plans and spent a lot of time talking about that.
Later that night, Diamond was thinking of how to make more money and utilize the rewards she had been receiving. She currently had a villa, a farm, and an office building.
These three were the physical assets that she owned when she excluded the car that she received. The rest were either pills, clothes, jewelry, money, etc. and she was grateful for every small thing she received for doing nothing.
The villa was her house already and the main place where she was staying, so that place was already being utilized. The farm was already being used with the first project already on its way.
The office building, however, was the troublesome one. The place hadn't been touched yet, and this needed to stop. She could earn money by renting the place out, but she didn't want that.
'Since I will be running a charity foundation, I might as well set an office there.'
So, she decided to use that building for her own personal use. All her business will have offices in that building. She will put all of them there and save herself some trouble.
And the planning began. The building has eleven floors. She was going to turn the top floor into her personal space. The ground floor will be the reception and if the space was big enough, she would see what she could do there.
In other words, she was planning on turning each floor into a company and it didn't matter how long that would take, but she was going to do it and achieve it. She believed in herself; her confidence had been boosted, and she was no longer that arrogant girl who knew nothing.
Because she was planning a lot, she slept late and also woke up late. By the time she woke up, she was alone. Ruby had gone to school and her parents to work.
Since they couldn't just leave their jobs yet, they still went to work. In the end, she was left by herself, but it wasn't a bad thing at all.
She decided to go out before signing in. There was something that she wanted desperately, and she decided to try her luck and see if she could win it.
Her parents didn't take the car, so she drove it, stopped at a real estate agency, and signed in for the day.
[Congratulations, you have been rewarded with ***** two-story office building.]
