Sulaiman had received the news of the departure of Muhammad ibn al-Qasim from Sindh, he had also learned that the inhabitants of Makran and every city of Iran, like Arur,
On the way, Yazid did not dare to put on the shackles of rebellion blood.
These news served as a metaphor for his fiery revenge.
He saw all the arrows and which of them was the sharpest.
He was sent from Basra with powers to decide the fate of Muhammad bin Qasim.
It was righteous.Muhammad ibn al-Qasim's worst enemy!
From the anxiety and indecisiveness with which the people of Basra were waiting for Muhammad ibn al-Qasim, Saleh inferred that if Qasim was ill-treated, the people would be ready to revolt.
He wanted to take Muhammad ibn al-Qasim to Basra in chains, but seeing the enthusiasm of the people of Basra, he had to change his mind.
One evening Muhammad ibn al-Qasim's caravan reached a town thirty miles from Basra.
The people of the town had received the information that the conqueror of Sindh and the prisoner of Sulaiman would settle here for one night.
Men, women and children were standing in front of the army post. The women were anxious to see the girl, except Muhammad ibn al-Qasim, whose voice had changed the history of Sindh.
On seeing Muhammad ibn al-Qasim, many young men ran and gathered around him.
The women kept a fully laden camel at some distance from the checkpoint.
Zahra and Naheed were taken to a house.
The soldiers guarding the post told Malik bin Yusuf that Saleh was very anxious to hear the news of Muhammad ibn al-Qasim's arrival in every town along the way, and he was also in danger that the people of Basra might welcome him more enthusiastically.
He is also afraid that Naheed's voice will prove to be very harmful in his favor there. Therefore, he has decided that Muhammad ibn al-Qasim should be brought towards Wasit. He also wants to prevent these girls from reaching Basra.
Maybe it is. He should reach here by morning. The head of the post showed the Malik.
The letter of Saleh in which he was instructed to detain Muhammad ibn al-Qasim until his arrival.
He believed that the enthusiasm of the people of Basra would force Sulaiman to change his mind about Muhammad ibn al-Qasim.
He did not expect that there would be any voice in favor of Muhammad ibn al-Qasim.
He strolled outside his tent for some time after Isha prayer.
Finally, with a strong will, he entered the tent of Muhammad ibn al-Qasim.
Muhammad ibn al-Qasim was sitting in the light of a candle and writing something.
The owner said. If you want to send a letter to someone, I will arrange it.
Muhammad ibn al-Qasim replied.
No, not this letter.
I am designing a new minecraft map.
I think this will allow the stone to be thrown farther and more accurately.
The owner replied,
"At this time you should think about yourself."
Muhammad ibn al-Qasim replied,
"I am an individual and I need a nation."
If I am imprisoned, then deliver it to Amir-ul-Momineen?
The owner replied. Your fate has been decided. You are going straight to Wasit instead of Basra?
Muhammad ibn al-Qasim replied:
I already thought that they would not make the mistake of taking me to Basra,
Malik said, Now you can decide for yourself. Very few people of Wasit will raise their voice in your favor, but when you reach Basra, thousands of people will be ready to die for you. Saleh will reach here tonight or sometime in the morning.
After that, our strategy will be useless.
At this time, there is only one case that you should take these girls and leave immediately. There you will find every home a fort for yourself.
Now wake up, this time is very critical. Muhammad ibn al-Qasim replied,
How many Muslims do you think is permissible to sacrifice to save my life?
Didn't the revolts of the people of Basra cause enough damage to the Islamic world? Is my lonely life so precious that the swords of millions of Muslims collide for it? Thousands of women widows and children become orphans?
Even if I sacrifice myself to save the world of Islam from this disaster, do you think that it is unfortunate for the Muslims that my sacrifice will go in vain, that the caliphate has now turned into ownership?
However, the Muslims have made the mistake of recognizing him as the caliph and at that time my rebellion will not only be against Caliph Sulaiman but against the nation but it is possible that after my sacrifice people will feel their weakness and such a the collective conscience should bring Sulaiman to the right path or at least the matter of election after Muslim should become so tough that there is no chance for people like Sulaiman to move forward.
If the people, inspired by my end, feel that they were wrong to recognize one's family heritage and choose a righteous Muslim as caliph after Sulaiman instead of one of his family heirs, then this is a cause that I consider sacrifice as the greatest blessing of my life."
Malik bin Yusuf was incredulous and said, "Your decision is irrevocable."
I give up but what did you think about these girls?
I learned from the soldiers of the checkpoint that Saleh wants to take them away because of the fear of the people of Basra, but I think that people will be more worried if they do not reach Basra.
Naheed is waiting in every house of Basra.
Is it not better that Saleh is sent to Basra before he reaches here?
Muhammad ibn al-Qasim answered after thinking something.
I only think that Naheed is Zubair's wife and Saleh like me considers Zubair as his worst enemy. However,
I do not expect that he will dare to abuse Naheed.
Malik replied, "I have spent many years with Saleh. He is not a human but a snake."
If even one word of insolence comes out of his mouth regarding these girls, I can assure you that all my colleagues will be ready to die. So accept my advice and send these girls with Khalid to Basra, I am accompanied by a few soldiers. And if the future of Islam is very dear to you, you can instruct them to prevent anyone's rebellion in Basra.Do not encourage attachment.
Muhammad ibn al-Qasim suddenly had an idea and some suppressed feelings awakened in his heart, he got up and started walking inside the tent in a state of restlessness.
The owner was carefully studying his movements.
Muhammad ibn al-Qasim was seen repeatedly fighting against a strong will by clenching his fists.
After walking around the tent a few times, he came out without talking to the owner and called Khalid in the next tent.
Khalid ran out.
So he said. Call Khalid Naheed and Zahra from village, hurry.
Khalid ran towards the village at the same speed and Muhammad ibn al-Qasim turned to Malik, you immediately prepare four horses, not five, Ali will also go with us!
"Are you going?"
the owner asked hopefully.
Muhammad ibn al-Qasim replied.
If you allow me,
I will leave Basra for them.
I will be back by morning,God willing!"
Malik replied,
"Don't mention coming back. It is better that you go to Sindh. I will arrange to get your wife there in a few days."
Muhammad ibn al-Qasim said,
My friend!
Don't misjudge me again and again.
My personality is not that which can be hidden anywhere.I only want to go home for a few moments and that too if you take my promise if Saleh does not leave Basra tonight, I promise to be back before he gets here".
Men like Saleh do not travel at night in such conditions.During the day, he steps on the land of Iraq.
I prepare horses.
If you change your mind after reaching Basra, don't worry about me,
I will send a soldier with you.
Send a message to him.
I will go to Sindh along with my colleagues.
Muhammad ibn al-Qasim said bitterly.
Lord, don't make me regret again and again.
"If you don't trust me, I won't go."
The owner said, no, no, I manage the horses. You get ready.
After a while Muhammad ibn al-Qasim,
Khalid, Naheed, Zahra and Ali.All were heading towards Basra on horses.
Muhammad ibn al-Qasim's felt the danger from Saleh to Mecca on the way, and took another and comparatively longer route, from the common highway of Basra.
