Chapter 140 - Chapter 23

With a loud thrumming noise, we came out of the rayshift in the obvious method of not at all in a good position as, the moment we came out the rayshift I could feel gravities hold pulling me downward towards ground that was a dozen meters below us.

"I need help?" Ritsuka called out and my eyes snapped over as Mash held her master into a bridal carry as they both slammed into the ground and I as I much more sedately came down to the ground with Tiamat and Artoria Alter holding onto my shoulders as I made spiritual energy platforms under my feet so I basically just walked to the ground.

"We need to get you a parachute or something... Something tells me every entrance into a singularity is going to be hairy." I muttered to myself as Gudako's face twitched at my words and I shrugged as I looked around at the verdant green hills of the French Countryside around us.

But as I was looking around I likewise matched Mash as I looked up into the sky and we saw the massive ring of light hanging in the sky. "Mash to Chaldea, are you getting the video feed? What in the world is that?" Mash asked clearly worried at the sight in the sky and there was a crackle as the comms settled through the timeline and dimensional differences probably.

"Woah Mash... Now that's certain something? Maybe it's something to do with this singularity but honestly, not even a Grail could have the power to fuel that as it seems to be a massive ring that could fit around the entire planet." Da-Vinci spoke and I frowned at the sight of Goetia's Noble Phantasm as I obviously wondered how it matched up to Zeus's lightning.

But as they were talking about the ring of light in the sky that was the reason the Earth was scorched away. I refocused on the surroundings and in the distance I saw a group of French soldiers running towards us.

As they came close, instead of the normal events of Mash asking the French soldiers in English where they were and what had been happening. The French soldiers seeming leader pointed at Artoria and Tiamat and screamed.

"It's the evil Dragon Witch.... No its two evil dragon witches! For the great homeland of France kill them!" He roared unsheathing his sword and running towards Artoria alter and Tiamat as though he could actually kill them.

The other soldiers roared in turn and even as I felt them accept their coming deaths I could hear Mash asking Romani and Olga what to do.

"Just hit them with the flat of your shield Mash. Non-lethal take downs guys." I called out and then I dashed forward and used the martial arts my alternate learned from Wonder Woman to throw the soldiers into the ground and disarm them without breaking their limbs as I knew the healthcare of this time... Was terrible so a broken arm or leg could lead to amputation or something if they couldn't set bones right.

After a quick scuffle with the french idiots, Mash started talking to the soldiers in French which I could thankfully understand and speak due to my status as a Servant graced with the knowledge of the world. "They aren't the dragon witch... Uhm actually she is a dragon from the Far East here to defeat the evil dragons of the land!" Mash said and the soldiers... Actually bought it!

The captain of the french company actually nodded and then took in Artoria's form for a minute and then bluntly said. "Yeah... How the hell could I be so blind? The evil dragon witch Jeanne D'Arc was a woman with an ample bust... I deeply apologize for my actions!" He said bowing his head to Artoria whose face was frozen in pale fury and I could see little sparks jolting off Excalibur Morgan as she held in the desire to smite the dumbass.

Either way I coughed and then spoke out. "Alright, can you please point us toward the nearest fortress or town so we can get information?" I asked and the commander pointed us towards the pillar of smoke that was in the distance.

"That's the fortress I am from, we were on a scouting mission, and after we saw a tide of wyverns flying there in the distance, we have decided to flee to Spain as the dragon witches' madness hadn't spread that far!"

But without another word, Artoria was about to take a step forward, but with a flash of movement before anyone could react, I grabbed her wrist and shook my head...

I knew she was going to kill him for desertion but it wasn't our job to do so. This singularity was merely a bubble in time. And frankly, for a simple man with only a sword? What in the hell was he going to do when a massive wyvern decided to smash into him and eat him?

I didn't blame them for wanting to run away. A person's life was their most important possession after all. Though to Artoria? And in her alter form? She hated such cowardice the most.

"Go on then, we will be continuing on." I told the soldiers and then I walked away from them with Tiamat following me without hesitation along with Gudako and Mash while Artoria audibly stomped behind us as our groups separated.

Before Artoria or anyone could say anything I spoke up. "Let's hurry, we need to get ready for the wave of Wyvrens that are supposedly on the way," I spoke up and I picked up Gudako into a princess carry as I began running with great speed across the ground with the other servants behind us following.

But as we were running Olga's voice came through the comms as she spoke with clear confusion.

"Even if this is a singularity and alternative historical events have occurred... This is literally fifteen-century France, there is categorically not even enough Mystery and magic in the world to support an army of wyverns and dragons. It doesn't make any sense!" Olga ranted but my reply silenced her as we broke through the tree line and came into view of the burning fortress and the wyvrens flying above the fortress bathing it in their flames.

"A mage, a ritual, and maybe the world at this time may not be able to support them... But what if there is a grail, or maybe even two of them like in the last singularity... Now Tiamat, help me kill the Wryvens, Mash you protect Gudako, and Artoria you take charge of the soldiers." I ordered as I flash-stepped into the seeming cloud of flying draconic monsters with Tiamat flying in behind me.
