The Light was dead... It was a legitimate weight off my back honestly, no longer did I need to worry about the League being mind-controlled into attacking me or something. No, now I was a god within my internal realm within the Fae realms, where I was still a Hollow at my core and could indulge in my instincts so long as I kept them aimed at the fools who dared to think they could steal my realm from under me.
So, I sat upon my throne in my castle watching the unconscious forms of all the child assassins along with their teachers Rose Wilson and Madame Shiva stirring awake as I didn't protect them much at all as I dragged the buildings housing the occupants through space and time.
"Don't bother feigning sleep, I am well aware you are all wide awake." I said dully as I stared at the majority of the assassins going still as they have awoken to give them time to 'secretly' gather information about where they were and their situation.
Knowing the jig was up Madam Shiva in a smooth motion threw herself to her feet as she stared up at my throne that was stopped by a small pyramid so people would have to look up at me and likewise, I would look down upon them.
"I did not give you leave to meet my eyes." I hissed as I flared my spiritual pressure as I saw Madam Shiva sizing me up to attempt to take me down and the sheer stupidity of her act irritated me after I killed their order's leader as well as abducted them in their sleep for god's sake.
Shiva being the sole person under my spiritual weight not only had her soul shocked into crashing as her eyes dulled but the actual weight of my spiritual pressure shattered her knees and other joints as her body reflexively tried to stand on her feet under the pressure.
I knew her soul was fine despite her being in complete physical agony, so I then looked to Rose Wilson the whole reason besides the dark-haired little girl who rushed to her mother that was Cassandra Cain.
"Rose Wilson look at me," I said more neutrally as the white-haired woman clad in a sleeping dress looked up at me, and even with her curvaceous and toned body that would be a perfect example of a feminine beauty with strength. It was clear she was a killer as under her sleeping dress she was wearing a weaved ninja chain mail of sorts that was significantly stronger than steel so should someone attempt to slit her throat in the night that could evade her senses, the undersuit would give her time to reach the dozens of knives and other things that were hidden on her body.
"Do you know why I singled you out?" I asked as I folded my hands in front of my stomach as I looked down towards Rose Wilson.
"No... Perhaps to make another example out of us like you did with Shiva." Rose responded dryly.
I closed my eyes as I snapped my finger and from out of my shadow Astrid came out from behind me as she flew around me while solemnly carrying a carefully wrapped package to hand to Rose.
"Open it," I spoke as I stared down at her before I continued. "I will explain then." Then I looked to Astrid. "Astrid send the girl and her mother to Batman, he can deal with the girl and probably put the woman in jail who will break out the moment she can crawl," I ordered dully as Madame Shiva would laugh at the high-security prisons the international justice system would put her into.
Rose slowly opened up the packaging obviously worried about what cursed shit I gave her as both Cassandra Cain as well as Madam Shiva was swallowed by a pool of pure darkness before disappearing as the shadow Astrid conjured ran out of power.
Laying atop his thin chainmail made from Eighth Metal, was Slade Wilson's iconic mask along with his guns and swords within the bundle. Rose took the mask and dropped the rest of the bundle to fall onto the ground with a clamor of metal being shaken up as she held the mask to her forehead for a moment.
I let her sort out of her emotions for a couple minutes seemingly as Astrid went back into my shadow before she finally spoke with her voice being clear of all emotions. "For you to have his mask. I am assuming my father is dead, correct? With yourself being the killer?"
I didn't hesitate as I answered in a simple. "Thats correct."
Rose's face was carved from stone and honestly, this was without a doubt the most awkward and painful interaction I have ever had in either of my lives. Even telling Batman, 'Hey your mass murdering side piece of ass, stole some semen to make sure she got pregnant with your baby is now indoctrinating said child into also being a mass murderer.' Wasn't as painful as this.
"I fought your father in a glorious battle." I began speaking. "We sundered mountains in our dance with death and he only died of his wounds after he tore my very heart from his chest... Not even gods gave me as great a battle as him and he had some last words." I spoke gathering her attention from the mask to me.
"What did my father say then." She said as she held the mask against her chest while staring at me with an unreadable expression.
I blinked as I held out my hands in front of myself. "Slade Wilson, The Terminator, also known as Deathstroke asked a favor of me to do with you. He asked with his dying breaths for me to take you as my disciple, servant, or any number of things with the purpose of bringing you to a power level and skill that he had during our battle..." I shrugged as I looked down at Rose Wilson. "Honestly it's a fucking terrible idea. I don't know your relationship with your father but even if he considered me a challenge or even just business, that doesn't change the fact that I killed your very father."
"So, I have two options honestly," I said lifting my hands that were palms up as though holding something in the air and weighing it. "Either I follow your father's dying words and deal with your inevitable betrayal in which you fail to kill me or actually succeed in bringing issues to my realm... Or I send you back to Earth so you can continue being another one of Earth's greatest assassins accomplishing nothing more than killing some fat bastard arms dealer every few weeks, maybe fight some heroes and get put in jail for a while before breaking out to continue the cycle," I said dully as I could all but see the paths ahead for either choice.
"And what if I didn't betray you?" She asked with a sarcastic smile, and I just huffed at her question.
"Blood debt," I replied simply before I continued with my words earning a nod from her. "I would honestly think less of you for just submitting to me like a well-trained pet anyway." So, honestly, with just one path to go, I looked behind Rose to the assassins behind her. "Those behind you are already broke enough for when I need loyal silent blades after I have dismantled the League of Shadows." I finished.
Rose took a deep breath before her eyes firmed as she put Deathstroke's mask atop her face with the solitary eye looking up at me as she spoke with not as a promise but an inevitability of the future. "You were right... I don't really care all that much for my old man. But he is still my father, and this blood debt will be repaid when I bury you beside him."
For a moment I wanted to rage at the stupid girl for trying to kill what amounted to being a god but then I recalled how in DC comics if there was literally enough willpower, there was a way to do anything.
So, with actual tiredness filling my heart I looked at Rose with some actual despondency as Astrid received my mental order, and within the shadows of Rose's clothes and even her hair atop her head had magical spikes grew piercing her organs, instantly killing her. I went as far as to disperse her soul so in case she came into contact with some Nth metal or had someone willing to pour some blood into a Lazarus pit, she wouldn't revive or anything.
"Go back to your quarters that are outside the castle." I addressed the silent child assassins that stared at me with dull eyes uncaring of all the stuff I did as Astrid followed another mental order of mine to send Rose's body to be buried beside her fathers.
With the assassins dutifully following my orders I sighed as I replayed the scenario and as I looked back at the scene of Rose's eye staring up at me through the mask, I realized she was going to hunt me down to the ends of the Earth and although it weighed on my conscience I wasn't going to give up my life or have her fucking with my realm so she could satisfy the blood debt her father brought between us as he wanted to hunt me for the challenge.
"Fuck it. I need to see what Galatea and Raven are doing, this has soured my victory over the Light dammit." I cursed as I tried to just put Rose Wilson out of my mind. She wasn't the first woman I killed especially with how I cleared the meta-human prisons out of people with life sentences. And nor shall she be the last, but either way her living would only bring me stress as nothing says she couldn't get some bullshit Kryptonian blood transfusion, Lantern Ring, or even another God Killer sword that will allow her to actually hurt me.
