Watching Luthor schmooze and otherwise just lead those two Rheelasia verbally into unifying during a feast was in my eyes just painful to watch as a 'hero' as I knew the bald-headed man had his own plans in doing such a thing. Yet from a younger man's perspective watching the older man having the two other world leaders hanging onto his every word and otherwise nodding or agreeing to his very logical arguments.
Like for one, one of the most pressing instances that separated the two nations for unifying was how North Rheelasia had a militant harsh regime whereas the South had a more relaxed capitalistic society where money truly made the world go round.
Luthor's suggestion was for the two men to basically retain their own power structure and have the North Rheelasia General who was the top dog of the nation remain in power over military affairs over the coming United Rheelasia, while the South Rheelasia was to become the head of Civil affairs for the United Rheelasia.
Both older men realizing they in fact did not have to give up their personal power most definitely relaxed and the whole peace summit took on a much more friendly tone as the leaders stopped insulting one another.
"Lorde, we got a big problem." Robin's voice came through my earpiece, and I told Robin to continue. "Black Adam of all people was contracted by the League to break out Sportsmaster... Once he broke Sportsmaster out and got him out of our view we lost the assassin as Superboy and the rest fought Black Adam for a while before the man disengaged and left using his diplomatic status to stop us from arresting him." Robin explained and once again some diplomatic bullshit red tape stood in front of us putting a dirtbag in a cell, just like with Encantadora.
"The Assassins are probably grandstanding somewhere..." I muttered into the mic before I recalled in canon that Red Arrow tracked Sportsmaster to a weird Asian-style castle built atop a skyscraper.
"Try looking for castles or some other weird monument... Only the Demon Head himself could get Black Adam to move from Kahndaq and that man won't bother staying in some modern five-star hotel." I said with Robin agreeing with me.
With Galatea here however, I had to wonder how Superboy was able to eke out anything resembling a draw with Black Adam in terms of strength as the man was fully capable of going against Superman but then again, the man was more of an antihero than a villain and was probably paid handsomely to leave his nation and come cause some trouble so he was unlikely to be gung ho about attracting the full gaze of the League on him for interfering too much with this peace summit.
For the rest of the day while I kept an eye on Luthor and the Peace Summit I was periodically given heads up through the comms as Robin, and the rest quickly scoured the city in order to find Ra's al Ghul's hideout.
"Lorde, I think we found it!" Artemis said excitedly through the comms as Luthor and the now basically already United Rheelasia, leaders finally shook hands one final additional time as the official negotiations ended and now everyone was going to share a Rheelasia'n style feast in celebration for the initial merging of the nation's seemingly coming into fruition.
"Robin, give the League an alert as the Demon Head is a priority target," I said although supposedly the League was busy for the most part with some underwater mega volcanic eruption that didn't mean Batman or one of the unpowered League members wouldn't want to swing by to catch the leader of the League of Shadows.
"Alright Lorde... Well, we will get the prestige of finding him anyway." Robin grumbled making me roll my eyes and Galatea snorted as with her super hearing she could hear my earpiece.
"Wait Lorde, he found us?! He just waved to us and then was pulled into some kind of portal! Watch out he may be teleporting or something over to you guys!" Robin yelled and my honestly bored mind cleared up as a loud whirling helicopter came flying towards us.
"Is that Helicopter one of yours's?" I asked the leaders of United Rheelasia and they quickly shook their heads as the massive three-proper carrier chopper shot some kind of cannon or something that shattered the glass walls of the skyscraper, we were in to allow dozens of ninjas armed with short katana to rush in towards us.
"Welp time for another bone-breaking session!" I heard Wally yell as he came out from behind the snack bar he had commandeered and then the speedster all but dashed into the crowd of assassins breaking knees and elbows so they couldn't escape as we simply couldn't capture them without harming the three or four dozen ninja's rushing towards the new leaders of United Rheelasia.
I wasn't worried about the assassins of the League of Shadows, however. I had locked eyes with Black Adam who had decided that blowing up the League of Assassins's helicopter to fly menacingly into the skyscraper with the clear intent to kill the Rheelasia leaders or maybe even Luthor.
This was the problem with changing canon I guess... With the whole team here and not merely Aquaboy and Red Arrow, the Light was bringing out the big guns in the effort to either make us look bad, or the Demon Head was actually making a legitimate attempt on Luthor's life without implicating himself into the act.
"Galatea... I am going to need your help." I said as I lost my human features and took on my hollow nature fully. "Kid Flash you have to protect the leaders, me and Galatea have to keep Black Adam busy while the League gets here... Robin you got that?" I said and only got a harsh screeching chattering noise in my ear as a response with Black Adam scoffing as he flew in a way that clearly showed he was going to fly past me and Galatea seemingly not putting us in his eyes at all.
"The whole city has been locked down... The League will not hear your cries for help, now move child lest I move you. The killing of these three men will feed my people of Kahndaq for a solid decade and make it possible for them to make a better living in the desert." Black Adam said obviously trying to get us to move out of the way.
Black Adam was a beast of a man, he was some seven plus feet tall, his chest was like a damned oil drum with how muscular and thick it was, and with his bat-like pointed ears, plus his cold eyes, he was honestly the most intimidating man I had come across since I came here to DC.
Despite Klarion being far more dangerous, his shorter thin size took away a lot of his intimidation.
"Teth Adam, I will not let you past me," I said flying up to square off with the demigod and wordlessly the man threw his hands toward me, and my vision was engulfed in divine lightning.
