Chapter 1 - Prologue:

Two children in dirtied rags spoke to each other quietly at the edge of a lush forest, the dew drop leaves reflecting the warm sunlight.

"What's that?"

The two looked as they squinted their eyes closely.

In the far distance, a fully black humanoid figure could be seen standing still, looking at the sun. Black liquid fell off its body into the ground before being re-absorbed.

The children looked in awe before their curiosity took the better. Quietly and steadily the two children now stood around 3 trees behind the peculiar creature.

The two could hear their heartbeats as they clutched their hands that were pumped with adrenaline.

The two felt a cold shiver go down their entire being when the being slowly moved its neck.

Gasp.

The two children started watering at the eyes as they saw the black humanoid looking at them strangely.

"I want to go home."

Clruch.

Rose-red blood splatted on the floor.

A black arm was revealed holding a human heart as it was slowly retracted from the interior of both the childrens bodies.

Soon, two dulled thuds were heard before the two bodies were layed out cold.

The murderer, being a black humanoid released some of his being that slowly engulfed the children.

After a couple of minutes, two more figures rose.

In shrouds of black.

After confirming the successful turning, the original two humanoids left east, the new humanoids following, as if tied by an dominant instinct within their new minds.

After treading soil for around 20 minutes.

The odd group reached a camp sight, a bustling bonfire in the middle and a black humanoid at least twice as large as the originals.

The originals looked ahead emotionlessly as they watched the large black humanoid throw his brethren into the fire before consuming them.

Increasing his own power by mere inches.

This wasn't cannibalism.

This was the Dawn.

Of a New Era.
