Harley and Sarah saw themselves the next day after his wedding to Queen, and they didn't discuss about it. Harley did not ask to know why she had suddenly changed her mind, it was clear she now had a new boyfriend and could not answer present to his marriage proposal. Queen had been out accusing herself whereas she needed not to do that.
After Sarah presented Bob to Harvey, he was curious and wanted to know more about him. "Darling who's the guy you presented to me earlier?" Bob asked.
"Oh, that's Harvey Thomson, my ex fiancé, and the lady standing close to him Queen Lee my little aunt, she's the last of seven children. And is now married to Harvey." She said furiously.
"I'm confuse why did your fiancé ended up with your little aunt?" Bob asked politely, he was lost and needed some clarification.
"Because I turned down his proposal. We just dated for two months and he wanted me to get married to him, I refused." She said.
Bob was lost after getting they got married the previous day, Sarah made him understand that she also turned down his proposal because she found out she was more save with him rather with Harvey. To him Sarah has taken the worst decision of her life. Turning down a marriage proposal for a man she wasn't sure wanted something serious.
He made her at the club, she was with mutual friends so it was easy for him to come close to her, he had not told her he wanted something serious neither did he tell her he had being playing games.
Sarah noticed he was lost while they were discussing. "Darling what's wrong? You seemed lost."
"Oh really, I'm probably thinking about something, I'm sorry for my absence." He said politely.
It was getting late and was time for them to get home, he dropped her home and continued. While dropping her, her father was at the balcony and saw everything. When she moved into the premises, he had been observing her, just as she was about crossing him for the living room, he broke his silent.
"He had no idea he could pay you a visit to tell your dad he has being with you all day long and was sorry for keeping you late? He instead dropped you outside as if you were some piece of garbage." Jack mentioned coldly.
"Dad what are you talking about, cause I'm lost." Sarah added.
"Lost? No you aren't lost. You know of what I'm talking about don't pretend here."
"Dad I'm tired and I need some rest, oops! I almost forgot, I met your baby sister today and her unknown husband, it was quite funny seeing them."
"Unknown, but they will get to know themselves. Have a fantastic time." He said as he left for his room.
Sarah equally resumed to her room, she took her bath and immediately got to bed, the day had been stressful, all she needed at that time was some rest.
The next morning, Harvey got up early, he had a meeting with his board of directors as such he had to get at the office early. Queen knew she had to get used of seeing him leave very early, although she wasn't really comfortable with that, she had no choice. "Good morning." She addressed him immediately she woke up.
"Good morning beautiful, how was your night?" He said.
"Great and yours?" She mumbled.
His night was fine. After the little conversation, she asked him if she could pay a visit to Jack. He accepted and told her she could visit whosoever she wanted.
"Thanks, while you have your bath and dress up, I'll go help the ladies in the kitchen with breakfast." She retorted.
She was in her pajamas, she saw no need of changing it since as she was still in the house. She arrived in the kitchen and met Geraldine, she was slicing vegetables which were to be used for breakfast.
"Good morning Geraldine, how was your night? I hope good." She said with a smile on her face.
"My night was good, Thanks." She said coldly, she did not like Queen asking her such questions, it was her first night in the villa and she was behaving like the mistress, according to Geraldine.
On the little table near the gaz was a tray of carrots and green beans waited to be chopped by Geraldine. Queen happily helped her with that. Geraldine had been observing her and wondered what she was trying to portray.
"Miss Sarah you don't have to that okay, Emily will help me with that as soon as she is done in the garden." Geraldine mentioned politely.
"Oh you don't have to bother with that, it's fine helping you with that. And I'm Queen not Sarah." She said calmly.
"Oops! I'm very sorry for that, it's just that I was use to Sarah. Your name is not something I can memorize easily." She said gently.
"I'm sure if you store it in your head you'll easily memorize, all you got to do is keep repeating it, Queen, Queen and that's it." She said.
Actually, Geraldine meant it when she called Queen by Sarah's name. She wanted to constantly remind her she had been occupying Sarah's position. That morning, she had succeeded in ruining Queen's day. She left off the tray of carrots and resumed to her room. On entering, she forgot to knock on the door, she was so much angry that she batched into the room just like that, to get surprise Harvey was almost naked. She immediate locked back the door and presented her apologizes. All what Harvey did was smile and told her he had no problem with that.
He finished dressing and told her she could enter, she was all shivering when she entered their room. He asked her not to feel that way but there was nothing she could do, she tried apologizing again, but Harley insisted saying there was no problem at all.
"Why did you return you just left, any worries?" Harley asked to know.
She remembered about Geraldine calling her Sarah, and it made her feel like she had been betraying her, she dare not tell her husband what happened at the kitchen. "Oh no, I just felt weak and can't back was afraid I could fall down."
It was strange, while leaving a few minutes ago she sounded strong. "Oh sorry, you did well by coming back to the room. Don't stress yourself by the way we have maids all over the house who will do the task okay." He said politely.
Harley was dressed and ready to live for work, before that he had to take his breakfast. He left for the dining room.
As usual, Geraldine had served the table in a the way in which he loved, he rapidly went through it. He was having toasted bread and fried eggs accompanied with tea. After that he rushed for the office.
That morning before his arrival, his business associate Sir, Thomas Budy was in the area and had been waiting for him for the past 20 minutes, just as he saw him entering the building, he could see his marriage ring from afar glittering. "Oh you are here already, have been waiting for you for long now." Thomas addressed him.
"Oh, I'm sorry Mr. Thomas, sorry for keeping you waiting, please let's get to my office." Harley mentioned.
They quickly got into his office, and was accompanied by his assistant who brought them coffee. Before they began, Thomas opted to present his congratulatory message.
"You know we were so busy at your marriage, I forgot presenting you my congratulations, I can see your hands are all glittering, you did the right choice. And I must congratulate you on your choice , your wife looks like an angel, she is so beautiful." Thomson said.
"Thanks Sir," Harley mentioned with a smile on his face, what Thomson ignored was that the beautiful damsel in question was only a replacement, someone he never really knew. But straight to business as that was the reason why he showed up.
It was 1 PM, Queen was getting dress to go pay a visit to her brother Jack for whom she was bordered, two days without seeing him and she was now living with strangers , all she could do was visit her family so she could feel as she was still living on earth. She wore a long blue gown which she acquired for herself, she had never put it on , she thought it was the perfect time for her to put that on. She was now a married woman and could no longer dress like she used to.
While going out, she met Geraldine at the entrance of the living room, she told him she won't be long and intended visiting her brother. "Okay please help me greet Sarah and do let her know have been missing her." Geraldine said calmly.
"Sure, I'll do that on your behalf, may be one of these days If she has time I'll invite her over to visit, if only she still remembers you. Now I'll be on my way." Queen said politely.
Geraldine was hurt by Queen's words, "how dare she says that?" As she mumbled. She tried hurting Queen but on the contrary she tasted a little spice from her wickedness, why would she keep talking about Sarah when she knows she was the one taking over her place. Queen left with the driver, he was home and had been doing nothing.
In less than an hour, Queen arrived Babel street, where Jack and Sarah lived. He was aware of her visit, so he asked his maid to prepare her favorite meal which was yams and egg sauce. That early morning when Sarah entered the kitchen she saw the maid getting ready to prepare food, the ingredients were all in a basin, she saw that and thought of Queen because she knew it was her favorite meal, but she had no idea she was coming home, because her dad said nothing about it.
She never really paid attention to that because she had been struggling to get into contact with Bob that morning without success, she tried calling him but he wasn't responding, she even messaged him more than 10 times but he did not reply, it has never been that way since one month of relationship, what was actually going on?
"Why is Bob not picking my calls? Since last night we had a conversation about Harley and Queen he stopped being responsive, I hope nothing bad happened to him." She mumbled while leaving for her room.
Queen now arrived and was in the living room waiting for her brother to soon join her, it was the maid who received her, she offered her and seat and went into the kitchen to get her a cup of water before resuming to Jack's room and letting him know about her arrival. "Thank you." Queen said when she was offered a cup of water by Jack's maid. She quickly rushed upstairs and told Jack. He was in his room taking some fresh air by the balcony, immediately she told him about Queen's arrival, he got down to go meet her.
"My Queen, you are looking stunning. I'm just few hours of marriage, I can say you are looking more prettier. You are welcome my dear." Jack said with a smile on his face, he was happy seeing his baby sister after her wedding.
"Thanks brother, I was feeling lonely, so I called to know if I could come visit you."
"This is your house, and you will always be welcome here, any time you feel lonely and I'm free I'll always be there for you okay." He said, he later called his maid to serve the table.
The maid quickly resumed to the kitchen and served what she had prepared. After serving the yam and egg sauce, she added some vegetables and some fruits. She knew her boss always loved fruits and vegetables alongside his meals.
"Wow, I can see you made Yam and egg sauce, it's my favorite." Queen voiced out.
"Yes. When you called informing about your arrival, I asked her to make your favorite."
"Wow thanks brother, I'll move to table now and devour the meal." She said simultaneously.
Sarah was in her room and heard her dad laughing and communicating with someone but she did not know with whom her dad had been discussing with, his voice was much more like base so she could get him, whereas Queen's voice was smooth and couldn't be heard from afar. She was the curious type, so she left her room for the leaving room, on her arrival she saw no one. "But I heard dad discussing with someone," she said nervously, she then turned and stared at the dining table to see if he was seated there, he was there and was seating with someone, she did not see who the person was, it was a lady and she had been facing the wall. Sarah could only see her from her back.
She was interested in knowing who she was , so she approached her, she greeted her politely and when the lady turned facing her, she was so much surprised to see it was Queen. "You?" She said surprisingly.
"Yes me." She said calmly.
"I thought as much, so the yam and egg sauce was for you. I had no idea you were paying us a visit." Sarah said coldly. Queen never wore long gowns, so it was kind of strange seeing her in one, she could not easily predict she was the one from afar, she greeted her with so much respect thinking she was a friend to her dad.
Queen was surprised too seeing the way Sarah greeted her, yesterday when they met at the entrance of the restaurant, she seemed angry, and then this morning she was greeting her with so much respect? What changed? She asked herself those questions.
"I see you've shopped and gotten new clothes, that's fine. You are changing your looks. I would have imagined you were the one, anyways you are welcome home aunt Queen." She said all smiling, it sounded much more like an attack rather than an appreciation.
Jack watched them speak and knew Sarah had being attacking Queen, he asked her to move to her room if she had nothing doing, but Queen asked her to let go off the situation, he said there was no problem with her seating with them.
"You won't tell daddy on how to raise me okay? I'm pretty sure when you heard about me refusing Harley's proposal you gladly jumped on him and proposed to replace me." She said furiously,
"Excuse you? I won't have you insult me Sarah. We both know have never even for once wanted to get married, worst again this way."
"But you are married." Sarah said boldly.
