Chereads / Lord of Chaos. / Chapter 22 - Despairing necrosis.

Chapter 22 - Despairing necrosis.

Viktor was now in a stable condition. As for the chaos surrounding him earlier, his eyes were still surrounded by a strange aura, but it was nothing to worry about.

However, with the stopping of the gathering of the chaos that surrounded him, his body also stopped healing.

He was constantly fainting and waking up. His body, which was all damaged, was in an extremely serious condition.

6 hours had passed since he arrived at this abandoned house.

Only recently had he been able to keep himself in a really conscious state, before that he would only wake up a little unconscious, driven by his desire to stay alive.

He kept repeating to himself that he should not die here...

He didn't even remember that he had woken up more than twice.

His sister had contacted him an hour ago and he tried to reassure her, but he also told his family the truth.

That time he was able to speak understandably, and it is the only time he remembers waking up besides the next and definitive one.

He told them clearly that he was seriously injured and needed them to come quickly.

What he didn't notice when he spoke to his sister, and also wouldn't mention so they wouldn't do anything desperate, was his arm.

His right arm, which was the most used part of his body to attack, was from the shoulder area to the fingers with different cuts and punctures.

And after a few hours, the tips of his fingers took on a black color.

At that moment when he woke up, his whole body hurt, so his arm did not stand out, but now it was clearly noticeable that his arm was literally rotting.

Still, since his family was already coming as quickly as possible, he didn't mention it.

'Without cars they could use, it would take my family at least 2 hours to travel the 38km between them. If there were buildings in between, maybe more. If there were more serious problems in between...Hopefully not.' Viktor thought.

He was able to get to standing after trying, but he definitely couldn't fight.

Holding himself with only one arm on an ax, this time a lighter one, bought in the system.

Since the previous one he had already lost while fleeing, he tried to barely check the situation surrounding his current building.

It was important to know if there were any dangers nearby, so that he could flee or hide if necessary and also so that his family could get here without inconvenience.

Obviously he would not leave the building, he would only watch from the inside, without moving much. His current condition did not allow him to do much more.

The rest of the family was running towards their location, while trying to avoid the monsters.

They were already tired, from the heavy day they had had and no one was in condition to fight much more.

First they left this wooded area, coming to understand that this area was formerly a park, which had been taken over by goblins, and whose trees and flora in general had grown enormously.

They had to kill some goblins, but managed to get out successfully.

After this, they passed by several buildings, which now, with the technology gone, added with the small damages caused by the monsters and the "elemental kings", looked dirty and abandoned.

They were able to avoid contact as best they could, being wary and attentive to everything around them.

They ran as fast as they could, but time passed, 1 hour had passed and there was still half the way to go.

But unfortunately the fast movement attracted

And very dangerous ones at that...

Monstrous wolves surrounded them, one of them, the largest, ridden by an orc that looked at least 1 orc head larger than other orcs they had faced.

They immediately thought about what that meant.

He was an elite among the orcs, a monster that even in their best condition they would not want to face.

These elites were estimated at level 6.Together with a pack of wolves that probably reached at least level 3, even escaping seemed difficult.

The orc and the wolves approached with ferocity, making their intentions clear.

Lucia tried to throw a fireball and buy time to flee. But the alpha wolf charging the orc charged forward with more anger and ferocity.

Her mother barely managed to cast a light barrier and block the attack, but there was still damage.

Luckily Akiba caught the orc's sword strike with his knife, deflecting it, and mitigating the damage.

Viktor after checking the situation of his surroundings, confirming that the zombies were not approaching, realized the huge amount of Scoins he had, totaling 21000 points.

He immediately purchased the level 7 personal system, hoping that a certain function would help him at least a little with his situation.

This function was the medical system, which could analyze his body and repair specific things.

The level 7 system was considerably expensive, costing a total of 9000 points, but it brought with it 2 important functions.

The medical system and the space storage. Unfortunately not everything went as he had optimistically hoped...

[System(Personal):A necrosis has been detected in the arm...

The medical system level 3 is needed to heal. You could also opt to get help from a light mage level 25 and up. ]

He knew that level 30 already existed in this world, but he had no way to get in contact with such people. They were the elite of his country, most likely high-ranking military or influential people.

There were also monsters with that strength, something he sincerely hoped he would not encounter until he reached those levels.

- "System, isn't there some other option?"

[System(Personal):

-In your situation, you are recommended to save 10000 Scoins and purchase the service of the [Servant Nanobots] pack temporarily, which can isolate the arm from the rest of the body, immobilizing it and leaving it completely dead].

"Wouldn't that be like cutting it off?!"

[System(Personal): -That's right.

-But it is not recommended to cut the arm, as you will bleed to death

-You have 24 hrs to use this function or find a solution, otherwise, the necrosis will spread to your torso, and there won't be a way to heal. ]

"Shit...I'm going to have to pay for losing an arm...Besides, I only have 5000 Scoins left. "Viktor despaired.

He had spent 15000 Scoins(2 system upgrades) to try to save his arm, but he might not even be able to save his life.

His own situation seemed pathetic to him...
