Sitting inside the carriage as it rattled on the roads that led to the Boxton mansion, she listened to the ramblings of the little boy Crispin as he continued to chat with her about whatever came to his mind, he told her about Eringdalle, the cultures and how it differed from Findara, and then of course about food, a lot about food.
However at some point, Eadlin began to feel quite awkward, not because of the little boy's ramblings, but because of the gaze of the man sitting across from her, which she could sense even without looking up at him.
She later did, raising her head to meet Derian's steady gaze on herself, he smiled subtly when she met his eyes, a smile she awkwardly returned. His gaze travelled downwards to settle on her arms she kept on her knees, the sleeves of her dress was long as usual, however she was surprised to hear him ask,
"I apologise if you mind me asking my lady, but what happened to your right arm?"
