Ara wanted to move, but her body was too weak, she knew that if she lost consciousness here, she would die. The heat from the flame was starting to get unbearable, and was moving closer to her, if she did not move away, it would only be a matter of time before she'd be burned to ashes.
'Ara you have to move away...' she told herself, but despite that she was unable to do so. She forced her head to look towards Cornell's dead body, and saw that it had caught fire and was burning. Perhaps, she would be the next one to burn.
She lay motionless on the ground as she struggled to stay awake. It seemed even the heavens weren't in her favor, and fate was still cruel to her. For every little sin and mistake, there would be punishments or other form of pain, if grief was written in ones fate, then reasons would be born to push one to their most miserable point. Happiness never lasts when one was bound with grief.
