Chapter 1 - One Of The Hardest Goodbyes I've Ever Had To Say

It was raining heavily last week.

I was coming back from my office to my falt

Due to heavy rain, I was feeling bit clod

However , after a few minutes I reached at my destination

When I entered the building.I noticed the lift was out of order.

So I decided to take the stairs. When I reached the first floor,

I saw an innocent child sitting on stairs;

He was a perty cute child with long hair, shiny eyes, faired complexion and he was putting a heart_ melting smile 😊 on his face.

He was carrying a set of wast ties in his left hand

He was selling the waist ties to earn a pack of bread for his family.

As I came nearer to him

I noticed

His body was literally shivering from the cold(one of the most heartbreaking, pictures my mind ever captured throughout my life)

He was continuously shaking his legs and rubbing his hand to get his body warmed up(I literally have no words to describe the scenario)

Also, he looked a bit nervous and puzzled

I guess he was worried about the rain ☔

As I came closer to him

He politely asked

Bhayia, do you want some waist ties?

I said No and ignore him all the way to my room. Although, the picture of that kid was stuck in my head till I reached in my room.

As soon as I entered my room

I opened the drawer of my laptop table and took out a pack of cigarette

Then I lightened up the cigarette and started smoking. So that I could peacefully ignore what I just witnessed

I tried my best to ignore the picture of that innocent child

But I could not escape the reality

My inner self started scolding me to do something and my mind started throwing thoughts like

Where did that kid come from?

Why he is going through such hard times?

He isn't supposed to struggle in his early childhood days

He is supposed to study and enjoy the way we all studies and enjoyed our childhood days.

All these thoughts were making me more frustrated

And at last, I squeezed the cigarette in the ashtray and screamed

"Oh, Allah! Why are you testing him in his early childhood days?"

"Oh, Allah! Why don't you do something for that miserable child?"

While looking at the roof of my room

I was literally about to cry and couldn't stop feeling pity for that kid even through I was trying my best to manage my emotions.

Then all of the sudden I heard a vioce saving

"I sure did something, I created you"

Upon listing to those words, my soul got shattered!

That was my realisation point

As soon as I listened to those words

I ran towards the stairs without wasting the next second

There, the kid was shivering from the cold and waiting for the rain to be stopped

I approached him and politely ask

Hey Lill Champ, may I have your name?

He smiled and told me his name

I then asked him the next question

Lill Champ aren't you feeling cold, I can see your body is shivering from cold

He Said,

Yes! I'm feeling cold but what can I do? It's raining outside so I can't go home right now.

I asked him another question

Lill Champ why don't you be my guest till the rain stops?

He Said

I'm wet and can't let myself ruin your room

I said

Don't worry about that I have a heater and we'll figure a way out

Then I took him to my room

There I turned on the heater and asked him to sit in front of it

He sat there for a few minutes and go back to the normal

Then I asked him

Lill Champ what would you like to eat?

He said

Bhayia I'm all okay!

I Said

No you're my guest if don't severe you

ALLAH SWT will get angry with me and you won't like it at all right?

Then he smiled a bit and agreed to eat meal

After some time the rain stopped

And he said

Bhayia Thank you so much for your hospitality

While putting a bright smile on his face. I wish I could have an elder brother like you

Those words just bypassed my soul and I hardly managed to control my tears

I bowed down on my right knee, put my right hand on his head, and said

Lill Champ! I'm your elder brother and I'm always here for you

After that

He said

Allah Hafiz Bhayia, will see you soon while putting a champ smile on his face

And I too had to say Goodbye

That was the hardest goodbye I have ever to say

That was a heart-melting moment in my life

I never felt that pain before in my life even when I was expelled from my college, and was dumped by the person whome I loved the most.( I literally can't describe how bad I felt)

I come back to my room with heavy heart

As soon as I entered my room

I caught a glimpse of myself in the mirror

And saw the tears falling down from my eyes ( I didn't even realize that)

It wasn't me, weeping....,it was my soul....

All I am asking you to look around yourself and help those kid as much as you can

They deserve your attention, your help and most importantly your affection

Because there don't beg but try their best to meet their needs on their own

I want you to find out the next "Lill Champ" and help him in one way or another

Because at the end of the day, big thing only happen when a series of small steps are brought together

Now it's up to us, how do we take those baby steps and help needy people.

Warm Regards

" The little ones wondering around the corners /shopes and roads actually are the bread earners"
