Chapter 7 - Oceanic Ressurection

A newly wedded couple were walking along their private Island beach. They were striding holding hands when the lady spotted a washed-up body on the shore not far from them.

"Leon… look!" the frightened lady called out to his spouse, as she pointed out at the lifeless body washed up by the enormous pool of wonderer, the ocean. She was trembling with fear at the surprise.

Leon's eyes opened wider, as he was shocked.

He looked for possible danger around, at sea, and on the Island. Leon was cautious.

"Do you think he's…?" the girl said as she was interrupted by Leon.

"Let's not jump to a conclusion, Eva. We still don't know yet."

Leon moved closer to the body to take a closer look.

Ryker's lifeless body was covered with a severely burned space suit. He was unconscious. He was breathing rather low than normal.

Leon got to him and bent a knee next to the body. He tried turning Ryker's body to face upwards for a better breathing position.

He checked for a pulse on Ryker's neck.

"He's still alive, babe," Leon screamed out to Eva.

"Oh, that's a relief." She was still scared and was still in the same spot Leon had left her. Her white short dress was dazzling in the wind exposing her fine thighs. She was finding it hard to keep up with holding it down, as opposed to the sea breeze.

"Uh, Leon… Mm, should I go to the mansion to change and also call the authorities to come to clear this mess for us we get back to our honeymoon, Hun." Eva was startled by the whole situation. To her, it was too intense for her. It made her feel uncomfortable.

"Okay, you do that but bring me the phone I make the call. Lemme see what I can do to help out before they come to take him," Leon responded quickly.

Eva left at a quick pace further into the island where the mansion was. Her mind was set to do the necessary quickly so she could get back to her dream vacation.

His attention was drawn to the man's clothing as he was offering first aid and calling out for the man to wake up.

"Fascinating… Your clothes are burned but your skin barely has a scratch or injuries. You must be either the luckiest man I know or you're just a mystery I don't know yet." Leon was puzzled.

He then opened Ryker's mouth gently. He checked for fangs, only to be disappointed. There were none.

He then pulled Ryker's lifeless body to drier ground further from the shore.

The tides were rising as evening approached. He lowered his body gently under a coconut true shadow.

He took time to observe as the sky gradually changed minute to minute, from orange-yellow to flamboyant pink. The clouds at the horizon were painted with changing colors as the sun went down.

As he was about to take sit next to Ryker, Eva arrived. She was in a heavy white oversized woolen sweater, covering from the neck to the feet.

"Ugh, he's still unconscious…Anyway here's the mobile phone." She handed Leon a Tesly-Pi Phone X,

"Yeah, he hasn't said a word. But he seems to be out of danger just resting. He isn't even cold… Seem you got what you wanted. Feeling cozy enough." Leon said as he was keying in the required emergency number. He dialed the number and waited for a response.

"911, what's your emergency?" The operator on the phone asked.

Suddenly, Ryker woke up and grabbed his leg firmly, "Please, don't call the authority. They're the reason I'm here in the first place. Please, just help me and I'll leave both..." Ryker was able to resurrect at the last minute, and blacked out again before he could finish.

Leon and Eva were startled by Ryker's act.

"What the fuck…man, you don't scare people like that." Eva almost jumped away, she was mad and in shock.

Leon immediately canceled the call.

"You're cute when mad, baby." Leon complimented her as he regained composure. Eva smiled back.

"We have no help him. Grabbed his feet, we carry him home." Leon said as he grabbed Ryker by the arms.

"Oh…Okay. Then after we take him home and nurse him what next babe? We're, literally inviting a stranger into our mansion." Eva frowned as she was concerned for their safety.

"We got no choice, you of all people know we can't leave him out here, love. You got me and the guards." Leon answered her.

Eva tried carrying Ryker by his two legs but had no stamina to hold him, unlike Leon.

She suggested that Leon, call the guards. They laid Ryker down and did so immediately.

The guards arrived in a jiffy and they did the heavy lifting. Leon took Eva into his arms as they walked. They all went back to the mansion, quickly as it was a pitch black night.
