Just as Aizen's body exploded and he lost consciousness he immediately regained it again right after.
But this time he could tell something was different, first of all, he couldn't feel his body at all, secondly, he was floating in midair just above the place he just died at, and finally, he could "see" and perceive all around him in a perfect sphere as if he had a 360° field of vision.
Also, another thing he just now noticed was that his thought processing speed was insane, it was as if some kind of limiter was lifted off of him.
'What's happening? didn't I just die?.' he thought, still a little dazed but before long he regained his clarity and understood what was happening.
'I am in my soul form!.' he thought, shocked but also half excited.
Looking down he could see what was his body just seconds ago, spread around everywhere painting the ground and trees red, and he could also see his clansmen still fighting but this time more furiously than before.
'Sigh, I really messed up big this time, I got too arrogant thinking that with the body flicker jutsu as my hidden trump card I'll be able to survive most situations, oh how wrong I was .' He did the only thing he could right now and started thinking about what he did wrong.
'I also neglected the fact that in a world where basically superpowers exist like this one, my previous world logic doesn't mean crap, when you add something like chakra to the equation anything can happen and one can never be prepared for all situations, unless, of course, they reach a certain level of power.'
Just then as he finished his train of thought he started feeling dizzy as if all that thinking have consumed all the energy he have left and he was about to lose consciousness, and with that, he also felt a pull on his soul, he couldn't determine what it was or where it was coming from exactly, but, he had a guess.
Just moments before he lost consciousness he felt the pulling force finally succeed in dragging his soul away and immediately the scenery around him changed, from a lush green forest filled with sounds of fighting and killing to the familiar yet unfamiliar black, empty, silent space.
"Seeing" this place again for the second time Aizen could only resign to his fate as he couldn't resist anymore and fell unconscious.
*********************
In an infinitely dark and empty space, the space aizen appeared in when he died in his first life, there was a grey ball that seemed to be made of light, it was the size of a man's fist, floating there without any movement, that was aizen in his soul form.
He was currently still unconscious, but, if anyone paid close enough attention they'll see that the grey ball of light seemed to be shivering, just like a human does when he is cold.
No one knew exactly just how much time Aizen had been back here or if time even mattered in this place, a place that appeared to be beyond time, beyond space.
As for the reason for Aizen's constant shivering, it's not that he was injured, or that he couldn't handle the pressure from this place, but, he was in fact "dreaming" and that "dream" seemed to be what is causing him to be in his current state.
*****************
Pov - Aizen's dream
It was still total darkness, but, there seemed to be a voice, one belonging to a man constantly screaming in his mind or maybe it was just talking normally and it was Aizen who heard it that way.
"Sigh, I've tried everything, I don't have any other choi£_@& &{ ¡€©^, This is the #? +- way for me to @£#-£+!."
"If I survive this@£%&?."
"Today I will &£e, but tomorrow I will %I#¥ a&%£."
The mysterious voice kept speaking but half of all his sentences were incoherent and couldn't be heard.
"So for now goodbye." said the mysterious voice one last sentence that was surprisingly understandable.
But the moment that last sentence echoed in Aizen's dream his soul jolted and stopped shaking, he had woken up, like a normal person waking up in his room from a nightmare, if he had a body he would be panting for breath right about now.
That last sentence was still lingering in his mind and repeating continuously and every time he heard it his "heart" would clench, he didn't know why but hearing that last sentence and maybe even the ones before it had thrown his "head" into turmoil.
He didn't know how much time passed before he calmed down, but when he did he "looked* around him finally processing his surroundings.
'So, I am back here again.' he thought, feeling relieved for some reason, even though he was dead.
'But what was that dream?' he thought.
In any normal situation he wouldn't have given it any second thought and would have just treated it as a normal dream, but, there was something different about this one, something that he couldn't explain.
First of all, it felt real, so real, and secondly, it was the emotions it stirred within him, rarely would a normal dream do that.
After thinking about it for a while longer he decided to throw it to the back of his head as he isn't getting anywhere with it and he needs to deal with his current situation first.
'It's weird how things turned out, I didn't notice it the first time I was here or maybe it wasn't like this, but I feel so comfortable being in this place than I ever did any other place as if it is my second home.' he thought as he felt the place around him
'Just how long was I unconscious in here for it to feel like that, or maybe it is just a feeling all souls would feel being in this space.' Aizen wondered.
'I can think about all of that when I am out of here.' thought aizen as he started to do what he did the last time he was here, using his will to shake this space and make a crack for him to pass through
But just as he started to do that something happened that startled him, before the space even shook, as if responding to his own will, two portals appeared before him, not the crack from the last time he was expecting but two perfectly circular portals.
'What is this?.' questioned Aizen as he looked through the two portals in front of him to see what was beyond them.
