Sitting in a restaurant inside the clan grounds, one of the only few there is, Aizen, Yuji and Yanen were having their meal in silence before Yanen suddenly spoke up.
"Did you guys hear the latest news?" he asked eyeing them trying to see if they did.
Both Aizen and Yuji looked at him questionably which indicated that they didn't know what he was talking about.
"I heard it this morning by accident." said yanen, "Apparently we got a new job alongside some other clans from some big lord to conquer a piece of land he wants to add to his territory we'll have at most 2 days before it starts."
"geez we barely got any time to rest and we're at it again." said yuji
"Humph, how do you suppose we get to enjoy the food you're eating right now and keep the clan alive." said Yanen, mocking him.
"I KNOW THAT YOU IDIOT AM JUST SAYING." screamed yuji back at him, the people around them turned to look at what was happening hoping to see some kind of action, although they were bound to be disappointed.
"sigh, guys enough you're making a scene." said aizen trying to calm things down.
"humph, he started it." said Yuji, clearly still angry.
"I wouldn't have had to say anything if you didn't say something stupid." Yanen shot back.
"I am not going to entertain your dumb a*s" said Yuji as he dug into his meal, ignoring both of them.
'Sigh, I guess it's not long before we're deployed again, I am usually never in the first wave of shinobi who head into battle, must be the old man looking out for me.' thought aizen as he remembered from his memories of this world that he was always deployed around the middle of a war where the danger was at a minimum.
'That means am left with at least 20 days to prepare myself and progress in my training before am going to fight again, not enough but I don't have a choice in the matter do I?.' he thought before going back to his meal.
Silence reigned as the three of them finished their meals.
After having lunch with yanen and yuji and paying with the money they got from their last deployment they separated each going their own way.
Aizen came back home happy and with a full stomach reaching the door he checked the seal he placed on it recently and seeing that nobody had come or tried to break in he nodded.
Not that anyone would do that but it was just an old habit of his, he'll feel more at ease if he knew for certain.
After going inside and closing the door behind him he headed straight for the door to the cellar.
Reaching the training ground he immediately headed for the river bank on the left side and set there cross-legged, and following his daily routine as he's been doing for the past week he stretched out his right hand, his palm facing upwards and started to practice the Rasengan.
For the past week, he has been constantly going through this same training every day, several times a day.
And it definitely bore results, he now could hold on for longer without being exhausted while rotating the chakra blades above his palm in all directions, which meant that his chakra control had improved once again.
He didn't know how much he had improved, but, he knew that if he really wanted to master the first step he needed to be even better than he is now.
But even then the benefits it brought him were all worth it, first, the costs for all his jutsus have decreased by at least half, and his flame thrower jutsu that used to consume 20% of his entire chakra pool now consumes no more than 10%, the earth wall jutsu have also gone from consuming 5% to 2%.
This will ensure that he can last way longer in battle and he can be more versatile as he can use more jutsus.
He also could strengthen his body more efficiently with chakra.
The tree and water walking exercises have now become second nature to him, he doesn't even need to concentrate his chakra and adjust its amount to stay stuck to a tree or walking on water, he now does that completely subconsciously.
'It really was the right decision to start practising the Rasengan.' he thought, 'I am not even past the first step and I've already improved in a week more than I did since I came to this world.'
Breaking his train of thought and concentrating more on his palm he could see that his palm had started to shake a little, seeing that he immediately cut the flow of chakra off.
'I've been able to hold it for a longer period this time.'
This was what he learned during the past week, it was better to rest when his hand started shaking and try again after a while than to force himself and end up exhausted, it was the optimal training method he came up with through trial and error.
'Sigh, man I envy those who'll have the luxury to train with a balloon in the future.' he thought, if he trained with a balloon he wouldn't exhaust his chakra as he is doing now.
It'll all be contained within the balloon and then he only has to make it spin faster so that the balloon pops, he wouldn't have to worry about controlling his chakra blades to stay on his palm and not fly anywhere else like he is doing now, but, 'i have this feeling that the way am training the Rasengan is the right way, it's how it was meant to be, I can't explain it but I know I'll get more results this way.'
'The Rasengan wasn't meant to be learned with a balloon and a rubber ball in the first place, they were just ways Minato invented to make learning it easier, but, while it's true they made it easier to learn, it also meant that one wouldn't get as much benefit from the learning phase as they were supposed to, it basically set the passing requirement to the lowest possible.'
'As I am right now I am sure that if I were given a water-filled balloon I can easily burst it open with my chakra, this would normally signify I completed the first step but by my standards, I am still not done.'
After resting for a while he stretched his hand and repeated the process all over again, he kept doing it for 3 whole hours, practising, resting, and repeating before finally moving on to other stuff.
Picking his shurikens, Kunais and senbon needle he moved to the wooden targets and started practising shurikenjutsu.
After getting better with his shurikenjutsu he decided to include the senbon needle into his training regime as it was also an essential part of shurikenjutsu that he couldn't ignore.
He also stopped using fish as training targets as he noticed that the fish population have decreased a lot.
He practised until he ran out of ammo before collecting them and starting all over again.
He didn't know how long he's been at it, he lost count of how many times he threw and collected back his ammo but he started to feel his hands ach a long while ago and he finally couldn't take it anymore and sat down on the ground to rest.
Seeing the practice targets he couldn't help but smile, almost all his shots have hit right in the middle with only a few missing and hitting around it, "it's still a stationary target but at least now I won't waste as much ammunition on the battlefield" he said remembering how in the last battle he had to throw three shurikens or Kunais just to make sure that one of them hits.
Sitting crossed he closed his eyes and started moving his chakra in a whirlpool in the direction his hair grows, he does that whenever he is resting, as this type of Meditation helps to increase his chakra volume.
(AN: it's Canon)
After resting for some time and feeling the pain in his hands subside he got up and started practising hand signs weaving speed, he practised the combination for different jutsus he knows as well as just going through all the hand signs aimlessly.
This is one of the things that he will never relax on as he knows just how important it is to be faster in releasing a jutsu than your opponent, maybe when he is proficient enough with fuinjutsu and can create the seals for signless jutsu he will go a bit easier on himself, but until that day comes he'll keep on training.
Finishing his hand sign speed training he was dead tired, as he had a long day plus just this morning he had upgraded the weights from 7kg(15) on hands to 10 kg(22lb), and 13kg(28) on legs and torso to 15 kg(33lb), and he's still not used to them yet.
He immediately went upstairs and took a shower before preparing a simple meal and going to bed.
Before he called it a day he went through the intermediate fuinjutsu book as usual taking notes before finally drifting into dreamland.
