The atmosphere is a beat tense and melody rings through the whole environment. It is the day of the Davenport wedding with Ellen. No family member got the chance to meet her early as everyone was busy with the preparation. Yet they are going to see who they are marrying today likewise Ellen's aunt is going to meet the family of her niece's husband.
The wedding which is first taking place at a very big garden owned by the Davenport family, is full of guests from prominent families and powerful people including the government officials. Everyone is waiting for the bride as the entire family is looking forward and prepared. The groom is also waiting and the word seems to be running late.
Just when he decided to call the bride, they saw her walking inside with someone. Her aunt was coming behind her with the other bridesmaids. All eyes turned to the direction of the woman whose body looks like an angel coming inside the wedding venue. Her face was covered in a veil and everyone else who did not know her were curious to know who the beautiful girl behind the veil is. Because from the look of her body, she must be very beautiful not to say less.
Aiden smiled as she walked towards him with the old man holding her hand. The old man is a neighbour who her aunt had told to help them walk her to the altar and he accepted because he likes Ellen. Everyone could not take their eyes off the bride, especially the Davenport family who all wanted to see her face. The chairman himself, Mr Ferdinand Davenport is interested in seeing his daughter in law.
They got to the altar, Aidan took her hand and smiled at her aunt. Her aunt went to sit down as the priest started. They exchanged vows and rings. Then they were asked to kiss which is something Ellen I'm not done before. Aidan did not stop, he opened her veil and kissed her. Meanwhile, everyone gasped looking at the bride's face. Aidan kept the kiss short seeing she was inexperienced, and was feeling shy.
Everyone clapped for the couple as the priest pronounce them husband and wife. Meanwhile, Debbie and her son they could not keep their mouth shut as they have never seen someone as beautiful as the bride in this city before. She looked so white and pretty, you think she was an Asian or an angel who fell from heaven.
"Everyone can't stop staring at you because you really look like an angel. You're so pretty today, you took my breath away." Aidan sincerely whispered to her.
She blushed very hard, "You don't have to exaggerate about this. I am not really as pretty as everyone thinks. I mean there's so many pretty girls in this world, and look at all the people here today. There are so many pretty ones among them. You people take my skin tone as a measure of me being pretty. I am just white but I'm not prettier than all the girls here." She replied.
"You are very wrong, there is a difference between being white and being pretty. You have both combined. I won't argue with you about this anymore. Let's enjoy the party, today is our wedding and you are the most beautiful woman here." He replied.
The newly married couple walked through the crowd smiling and waving at everyone. They stopped in front of the chairman, Mr Ferdinand Davenport. Ellen could not believe her eyes, this is a man he has seen on TV so many times and has never gotten the chance to come this close to him. She never thought she would even get the chance ever, and now she has become a part of such a prominent family. It is not her dream but it is a dream come true.
"You must be Ellen Crawford. You are a very beautiful and wise girl. I think my son choose the right person to be his wife. Welcome to the family." Mr Ferdinand welcomed her.
The welcome she just received from the chairman surprised her. She never expected that a man like him would be so welcoming. She thought he would be grumpy knowing she is not of the same class as him.
"Thank you very much sir. I am glad to see you are welcoming me in such a grand way." Ellen replied with a slight bow just like Aidan told her.
"You are a very polite girl, we will get along well hopefully. Enjoy the rest of the party, we will talk when we get home. Make yourself feel at home and with the entire family. Get to know them better." He smiled.
"Yes sir and I'm grateful to you and your entire family for such a warm welcome."
The chairman walked away and Aiden took Ellen to meet his mother and sister. They stopped in front of Alice and Joanna who are smiling warmly. Alice who is most especially happy that nothing is going to change her position in the family. She could have left a long time ago due to her husband's ignorance to what the other wives are doing. Yet she doesn't find herself doing it, she's come too far and she wants to revenge with her children.
"Wow brother! My jaw dropped when I saw her. How did you find such a beautiful woman like her?" Joanna asked making Ellen blush.
"She's right. You found the perfect wife son. This is the first time I'm seeing such a beautiful woman like her in this city." Alice added.
"Thank you Mrs..."
"You can call me mother and sister in law Joanna." Alice stops her.
"She's older than I am mother."
"It's just a different of two years. Don't tell me you're going to be calling me aunty." Joanna joked.
Ellen's aunt came, Aidan held her hand.
"This is her aunt, you can get to know her better mom. We'll be on our way to the villa for the reception." Aidan announced.
"What about aunt? We haven't met your other family members, don't you think that's not appropriate?" Ellen whispered in his ears.
"You'll meet them at the reception besides you'll be living with them. As for your aunt, I assigned a driver to bring her to the reception. That driver would be your driver from now on." He whispered back.
"We'll be on our way mom." He announced and dragged her off while people continued to clap for them.
They got to the entrance where the bride would throw her flower. Everyone gathered, and she soon threw it. It was caught by one of the guests who was happy she did. Aidan took Ellen to the car and the driver drove them to the mansion. They got there, seeing all the preparations and guests coming in. Ellen looked at the place in wonder, she has never seen anything like it. She always knew it was big but not this big.
The mansion she went to the last time was not this big. This is the family house, no wonder it could contain all those people living inside. They received a grand welcome as they kept smiling. Soon the reception started and more guests who weren't at the joining arrived. Everywhere became busy and filled with paparazzi. It was being broadcasted in the whole city and some stations worldwide.

Debbie talked and laughed with guests. She wanted a good opportunity for the bride to be alone so she can talk to her. She got this chance when she saw the bride going towards the bedroom upstairs. Ellen already changed into another comfortable white dress by then but she needed to use the toilet. She followed Ellen into the room, waited for her to get out of the bathroom.
"Oh my God!" Ellen flinched seeing Debbie who was waiting creepily.
"Dear, I'm so sorry. Did I scare you?" She asked mockingly, Ellen who did not notice the sarcasm nodded. "I'm sorry."
"What... What are you doing here?" Ellen asked Debbie.
"Oh... We haven't introduced so I wanted to introduce myself..."
"I know who you are. Everyone does." Ellen cuts in.
"I didn't know the family was so popular to that extent. I guess that must be the reason why you married him right? Who wouldn't want to be part of this family?" Debbie laughed mischievously.
This made Ellen feel embarrassed because somehow Debbie is telling the truth. But she would not give in to Debbie's tricks like that. This is an agreement between her and Aidan which no one should know about.
Ellen shook her head, "You've got this all wrong. I didn't marry him because of family name or fortune. I married him because I love him. I would like to leave now that we have been introduced ma'am."
Ellen bowed and walked out of the room. Debbie scoffed angrily. She couldn't believe the new bride is already feeling herself and being rude. She went back to the party giving the bride glares at every given opportunity. While the rest were nice to Ellen, Debbie seems to be the only one displeased. It was hard to hide it that she had to leave the party and find someone else to show her anger. She bumped into a waitress coming with a tray of wine. Everything poured on her body, she decided to blame the girl instead of apologizing.
"What are you doing you idiot?! How could you bump into me like this?" She yelled slapping the waitress who fell to the floor.
A few people at that side saw her and began to watch her. She did not see someone filming her. The person posted it online with the caption that, the Davenport family's Mistress beats employees for nothing.
Everyone at the party soon saw it, Debbie was still making a scene when someone came to drag her away.
"Let me go! I have to deal with that disrespectful idiot!" She struggled.
"That's enough mom! You are making a scene and the whole world is watching it." Gregory said showing her the video.
Debbie flushed in embarrassment and dear, her eyes widened in shock. This will bring her problems between herself and the chairman.
"Who did this? Who dared to do this to me?" She asked angrily.
"We don't know who did. You have to go upstairs and leave the party. I'll take care of this tomorrow, stop now and go." Gregory informed her.
She nodded, "Make sure you bring that person to me. I will kill whoever it is with my hands."
She stomped upstairs making sure people did not see her face. She felt embarrassed, too much to even go out the next day. She didn't know when the party ended, she could not come out. Facing her husband is her greatest fear now. It won't be easy convincing him that she is right. But she has her ways.
