"Brother, have you taken a liking to anything?" Feng Chi asked. He had only briefly flipped through the offerings in his own room; to him, those items were all the same.
"I'll take a look at that diamond when the time comes," Feng Yi said.
"The black diamond?" Feng Chi had seen a photo of that particular black uncut diamond in the information booklet and wasn't impressed.
However, since Feng Yi was interested, Feng Chi would pay more attention to it as well.
"About that black diamond, I've heard some news while mingling with them; at least two guests are interested in it, so the bidding is sure to go quite high."
Feng Chi was just giving Feng Yi a heads up—these guests indeed spent money fiercely, and once the atmosphere was fired up, no one would back down.
"I know," Feng Yi said.
If he truly wanted a diamond, it wouldn't be that difficult; it would just mean taking on some more risks. By comparison, it was worth it to try and acquire it through other means.
