Many people do not have a clear concept of what a six-meter python looks like, and upon seeing a large python, they think it's seven or eight meters long, or even some exaggerated claims reach ten meters. But that's just a visual misjudgment. A six-meter python might be mistaken for eight meters.
It's rare to encounter a six-meter python in the wild; many of the exaggerated records contain a hefty dose of fabrication. Even the reticulated python, known as the longest python in the world, is seldom found to exceed six meters in the wild. Not to mention Burmese pythons, rock pythons, and green anacondas, such specimen are considered the extreme individuals, and they're precisely the ones Steve has always wanted to find but hardly ever comes across.
The one in front of us, if really taken out, a single photo could make people mistake it for eight or nine meters, and there would definitely still be some claiming it's over ten meters.
But it's not that long.
