Tubruq, located in the northeastern corner of Liberia, houses the country's largest refinery, with an oil pipeline directly connecting the central oil fields to it.
Tubruq is Libya's most important crude oil and refined oil export city, although it has been under the control of Al-Qaeda for the past few years.
The National Army has been trying to recapture Tubruq, but they have not yet reached it.
