Chapter 23 - Taking in a Disciple

Kelly looked at Zema's pained expression and was worried.

Could it be that this principal already knew what the true effect of the bell was? Was that why he was so reluctant?

Thinking of this, Kelly immediately smiled and asked, "Principal, I'm naturally very happy to obtain such an item, but I'm very curious about how this item should be used."

As a novice, it was normal for him to not know how to use it. Kelly wanted to use this method to confirm if Zema knew the true powers of this bell.

Looking at Kelly's curious face, Zema could only suppress the helplessness in his heart.

Zema then said calmly, "This bell only has the effect of conquering magic. Wearing it during your battles can increase your magic power."

"Of course, it can also help you purify your magic power during your cultivation process, allowing you to achieve twice the result with half the effort!"

At first, Kelly was a little worried that if the real use of the bell was known, it would be troublesome.

However, after hearing Zema's answer, Kelly immediately confirmed that the principal probably didn't know the true function of the bell.

It seemed that although these things had been left in this world, not many people could unlock the true use of these items.

After getting an affirmative answer, Kelly gradually relaxed.

At this moment, Reyer looked at Kelly with bright eyes. He was even more curious about this kid whom he had met once.

"Kelly, we meet again."

"Mr. Reyer! I didn't expect to see you here." Kelly smiled calmly in response to Reyer. There was no excitement on his face.

Zema found it hard to believe. After all, when the young people participating in the Selection Conference saw Reyer, they all had looks of admiration on their faces. They wished they could immediately become Reyer's little fanboys.

However, Kelly was the only one who could maintain such a casual attitude even when he was communicating with Reyer at such a close distance.

Meanwhile, Reyer wasn't angry at all, as if he was used to Kelly's personality.

Zema was a little dissatisfied. After all, Reyer was also a very important companion to him.

He was still a little unhappy for Reyer to be treated like this.

On the other hand, Reyer did not take it to heart and continued to ask, "In this selection competition, you've already displayed quite a good talent as a mage and a summoner, but you have to choose one of the two."

"I have to choose one?" Kelly smiled and looked at Reyer.

"Although there were people in history who chose to cultivate two professions at the same time, most of them could not take develop both of these professions at the same time well, so they were mediocre and could not improve."

"So, if you really want to become a powerful existence, you can only choose between a Magician and a Summoner," Reyer explained patiently to Kelly.

In the eyes of the others, such a scene was too shocking. It had to be known that Reyer was not willing to communicate with others at all, but now that he could talk so much to Kelly, it was enough to make them envious.

Kelly knew that Reyer wasn't joking. It was impossible for normal people to train in two professions at the same time.

Only Kelly was confident in his own abilities and had never doubted his talent.

After all, Kelly was the only one in this world who had cultivated all professions to the maximum level previously.

"I'm not planning to develop any profession," Kelly replied casually.

Even Reyer was surprised by this answer. He looked at Kelly seriously, as if he wanted to find a flaw in his answer.

However, the only thing Reyer could be sure of was that Kelly wasn't joking. His eyes were extremely determined.

Kelly took the bell from Zema and was about to leave.

From the looks of it, he was not prepared to say another word to Reyer and Zema. Everyone was dumbfounded when they saw this scene. After all, he was the principal of the magic branch, and Reyer, who was powerful, was being ignored by Kelly.

Zema could not help but frown when he saw Kelly's arrogant attitude. "You've really caused trouble for yourself. Being so arrogant, I'm afraid that you won't have any achievements in the future."

He clearly understood that if one wanted to become a powerhouse, they first had to have a heart that was compatible with all things. Kelly's attitude was too cold and arrogant, and he always looked at everyone with such disdain.

It was as if they were not worth mentioning in Kelly's eyes, which made Zema feel humiliated. Even a powerhouse like Reyer was not so arrogant.

Kelly clearly understood the schemes in everyone's hearts. He didn't want to be too ostentatious, so he just wanted to resolve everything quickly through this method.

At this moment, Reyer suddenly stopped Kelly, who was about to leave. He still had a warm smile on his face. It could be said that this was the first time he looked like this in the past few years.

Even Zema didn't expect Reyer to be so tolerant of Kelly.

"Kelly, I know your identity, but I'm preparing to go elsewhere recently. It might take a lot of time to get there. I'm also very bored alone during this process. I want to find a disciple to go with me."

"What do you think? I think you like to play outside too. Why don't we go together?"

When Reyer said these words, there was a hint of flattery in his tone. This made everyone feel even more incredulous.

Lillian and John were extremely jealous at this moment. They were looking forward to it.

They hoped to become Reyer's student, but they did not expect Reyer to think so highly of Kelly, who had done nothing.

"This kid is really too lucky. Perhaps it's because of his cold and arrogant personality that Mr. Reyer pays so much attention to him. Otherwise, with his ability, how could he become Mr. Reyer's disciple?"

"You're right. It's just a pity that Miss Lillian and Master John will be rejected."

The other teachers whispered amongst themselves. They all felt that Kelly's luck was so good because of the smoke coming out of his grave.

However, they did not dare to say it out loud in case they got into trouble.
