Chapter 1 - Chapter 1: The Portal

The sun was setting behind the tall buildings, casting a warm orange glow over Mumbai City's bustling streets. Aarav was lost in thought as he walked down the crowded streets with his hands in his pockets. He was a tall, lean young man with dark hair and eyes that seemed to see right through people. Despite his good looks, he wasn't liked by his peers. In fact, he was the polar opposite. Rohan was known as an arrogant genius who thought he was superior to everyone else. He didn't bother making friends because he thought no one could compete with his intelligence

While walking past a bookshop, Aarav noticed a crowd gathered around a man giving a speech. The man was talking about the future and how technology would change the world. Aarav became curious and decided to listen in.

As the man continued to speak, Aarav became totally absorbed in the possibilities of the future. He imagined an era in which anything was possible and science and technology could solve all of humanity's problems. For a brief moment, Aarav forgot about his own problems and felt filled with enthusiasm.

Aarav started walking, thinking deeply after the speech ended. He went into his bedroom, closed the door behind him, and he sat at his desk, He sat down at his desk, opened his laptop, and began developing a website for his client. He was proud of his intelligence and enjoyed nothing more than the feeling of his brain working at full capacity

He was typing when he heard a strange noise. There was a low humming sound coming from somewhere in his room. For a short instant, he paused and listened, but the noise completely stopped.

Aarav shrugged it off and returned to his work. However, the noise returned a few minutes later. It was louder and more insistent this time.

Aarav climbed from his desk and looked around his room for the source of the noise. He noticed nothing out of the ordinary, but the sound got louder.

A bright light suddenly filled the room, blinding Aarav. He turned around and fell backward, trying to avoid the light. He saw something that made his jaw drop when it faded. excitement. He took a step towards the portal without hesitation.

As he got closer, he noticed that the portal was made of a shimmering energy. It activated and vibrated like it was alive. Aarav reached out to touch it, but backed away at the last second. He was doubtful what would occur if he made contact.

He was startled to hear a voice coming from the portal. The words were faint, yet he was able to make them out.

"Aarav... Try coming through... Don't be scared..."

The voice was unfamiliar to me, but it sounded friendly. Aarav took a deep breath and decided to enter the portal.

The sensation was unlike anything he had ever felt before. He had the feeling of being lighter than air, as if he were floating through space. Colors and shapes mixed around him, and he felt pulled in a million different directions at the same time.

He felt lost and dizzy when he came out the other side. He stumbled and nearly fell, but a pair of hands caught him and kept him stable.

"Easy there," a voice said.

When Aarav looked up, he noticed a girl standing in front of him. She had long black hair and dark red eyes, and she was small and skinny. She was dressed in a body suit that appeared to be made of a futuristic material.

"What is your name?" Aarav questioned, his voice trembling.

The young lady smiled. "Hello, my name is Lena. "I'm a time traveller."

Aarav's thoughts raced. What he was hearing was unbelievable to him. "What about the future? "What exactly do you mean?"

Lena's grin expanded. "I meant exactly what I said. You've arrived in the future, Aarav. And you've got a lot to learn."
