"I will beat the mortality out of you!", I roar as I follow him.
He flies out of the ocean in lightning and throws a punch. I catch it, twist back his fist and kick him back into the ocean.
"You are not a god Teth Adam! You are far weaker than I am. Shed your borrowed power!", I shout as throw a frozen lightning spear at him. The water crackles with electricity and freezes over.
It takes a moment, but Teth Adam flies back out with frost over his skin.
"I see you are still holding on. Very well...", I comment above him.
Adam rushes at me with a furious fist.
"Onyx Lord's Repulsion", I activate a skill. As I do not need a weapon and I can even forgo some movements to use skills. I just held out my hand.
Adam is then repelled by this gravity skill back into the water.
I think, "Mmm, this skill is basically Almighty Push when used in this way."
I dive in after Adam this time. He is still recovering as he floats underwater. A god-level gravity attack is felt in the bones. As a demi-god, Adam can't simply shrug it off like a bunch.
I don't allow him to recover though. He needs to break.
I sweep my hand, "Nebula." A starry mist appears around Adam. It explodes with cosmic power as he is caught in the blast. He floats down in a disoriented and hurting state.
"More...", I mutter.
I clench my right fist, "Gold Breaker...". A golden light is imbued into my fist. I flash towards him and deliver a punch more solid then the laws of physics.
Blood leaves his mouth and orifices as he is propelled into the deep. He is punched all the way into the twilight zone.
I hold out my hand, "Alabaster Lord's Pull."
His unmoving body is drawn from the deep into my grasp. I then teleport us to the sky.
He is knocked out, but it isn't enough.
I reel back my fist, "Thunderstorm." The sky darkens and the wind picks up. A thunderstorm forms around me and concentrates in my fist.
I punch him in the face with a thunderous boom and the crackle of lightning. He wake ups, but I keep punching him. I punch him in the face, the chest, the abdomen, and switch between them.
"Can you see your weakness now? Can you feel your limit as you feel this pain! Do you still cling to this old power? Your son had been succeeded already. Let it go!"
I stop punching him. His suit is tattered to where it barely covers him. His body is black and blue and bloody all over.
He looks me in the eye, "I...can't."
I sigh as I see tears in his eyes.
He speaks with sadness, "I was never a strong man. Losing my son, was too much. It is too much for me. I can't let go, even if I know I should. Even if it is what he would want me to do. I'm sorry, I'm not strong enough to let go."
I teleport us to the top of my Divine Tower.
I cast, "Lord's Heal." Adam is then fully restored to a completely healthy and healed state.
He stands up but can't meet my eyes.
"If you are not strong enough. Then I will lend you a bit of my strength. I will help you let go. All you have to do, is take my hand. Then I will take away your power for you. Leave you free to form your own divinity.", I offer to him.
He looks at my hand in great hesitation. Hopefully, he is strong enough to take my hand. So I can do the hard part for him.
In a moment of courage, he grabs my hand. I immediately separate the vestigial influences of the old gods from his soul and body. This allows his own divinity to finally form.
He maintains his appearance, but his becomes a bit less muscular. He has now become a desert god of protection and retribution. Although weaker than what he was. If he builds himself up well. He will exceed his old power in months.
He looks at me, "Thank you for sharing your strength. However, was the beating necessary if it just came to this?"
I smirk, "Would you have taken my hand had you not been beaten?"
He shake shakes his head, "No, I would not have taken your hand."
I place my hand on his shoulder, "I believe it is time you return to your land and people. They believe in you after all. I hope you don't betray that belief."
Before he can say anything, I teleport him back to Kandaq.
A weak man will either become a cruel god, or an understanding one. As a cruel demigod and weak man, perhaps he can only become a benevolent god. Hopefully, he will honor his son.
