All is quiet in the freshly fallen snow covered forest, until the familiar thump of paws is heard. A gray wolf, massive in size is running to help the Northern Moon wolf pack, one of the strongest ones in North America. The wolf suddenly smells the familiar metal scent of blood, the scent is heavy in the air, the wolf threatened to gag. As he slows, the wolf's heart clenched painfully as he took the sight in front of him.
He was too late.
Bodies. Hundreds of torn limbs of wolfs, humans, children. The snow was now a deep crimson, the wolf let a lone tear roll down his face. As the wolf looked up he howled at the moon all the sorrow and pain coming out into a loud howl. His pack would hear his grief and come to him. As he sat on his hunches, waiting for any signs of life.
A few low whines are heard behind him as his pack trotted up behind him. A low pitched shriek was heard when a auburn wolf caught the sight of her mangled brothers body, she knelt down slowly pawing at his shoulder, but even she knew their would be nothing. She slowly rose and licked her brothers face, one last time.
The grey alpha curled himself as the familiar snapping of bones was heard. In the wolfs place stood a middle aged man with black hair and sharp blue eyes, his body looking the same as he did when he was born into the world. He stepped forward to catch the attention of his members as they looked at him, he cleared his throat. 'Dark Moon Pack, today we were to late to help our allies, we will not let their deaths be gone to waste".
He turns to one side of the pack, " All warriors search for any signs of life, everyone else gathers all you can find and place them in a pile, we will give them a proper werewolf burial". With that he went to help his members gather the bodies and gently placed them into a pile, when his warriors came back with nothing, he lit a match from his pocket from shorts that were tied around his ankle.
As they watched the flames greedily lick their friends until there was nothing but ash, he gathered everyone to leave, until he heard it.
*yap*
The man turned slowly to see a pup sitting in the doorstep, and not just any pup.
A black wolf
Said to have been extinct from the murders, but hear it was, the man wouldn't have believed it if it weren't for the gasps he heard behind him.
The pup wobbled over from the house, and sat two feet in front of him looking at the pile of ash, other let out a small whine, then turned to the man. The man walked over and bent down looking into its sage green orbs with streaks of hazel as they stared at each other as the wolf looked as if her pain and grief were rolling of it and affecting the man. He lifted her chin.
"Are you alone little one"
The pup let out a yap, as if the answer was obvious, of course she was alone. He scratched gently behind her soft ear.
"Can you shift?, please?, we will take you were you can be safe".
The pup stared at him as if deciding with itself, then sat as the familiar sound of snapping bones was to be heard. In the wolfs place, was a beautiful girl with long blonde hair, she had curled herself into a ball, trembling.
The man gently lifted her and carried her to his members waiting impatiently to see, as they were in sniffing reach, their wet noses glided along her naked legs. The small girl whimpered and The alpha let out a low growl telling his members to back off. The wolfs all followed as they slowly made their way home.
