It is an early morning in the village of Aon. The sun is just started crawling over the horizon, as Cataleya awoke from yet another night. She opened her eyes to her mostly empty room. Only a simple wooden desk with a chair, some flowers in a light blue vase, an old wicker basket, a wooden wardrobe, a stone stove for cooking and her bed were all the furniture she owned. Cataleya stood up after giving her whole body a nice good stretch.
*yawn*
,,Why do I have to wake up so early all the time..? I'm still sleepy. Ugh, no fair."
She rubbed the sleep out of here tired eyes and began to get ready for the day. She brushed out her long light brown hair and then proceded to braid them to one side. Cataleya got out of her white night gown and tossed it on her bed while searching for a day dress to wear. Todays choice is a simple long light orange dress with a red flower pattern stiched on the bottom hem. She grabbed her wicker basket and grabbed her keys bevore leaving her room. The fresh morning air started to wake her up a little more as she inhaled it deeply and began to walk through the village.
,,At least something good about mornings. Nothing beats the smell of dawn, to bad that 8 can't smell is all day. Well... on the other hand? If I could, it wouldn't be anything special anymore."
The village was slowly starting to awake as more and more people could be seen on the street. Life in Aon was by no means a fast life. It is quite save here after all. Monsters rarely made their way here exept for the od one out. The most fearsome beasts you could encounter here were wild boars or some grey wolves on occadion. Nothing a simple hunter couldn't handle.
As the sun was up the people the villagers called: 'Adventures' began to appear all over as well. Seemingly spawning out of thin air with some kind of magic. This always happend when the sun rose up. Always. Cataleya didn't interact a lot with these adventures, since she only sold flowers and other herbs which she collects from the woods nearby. Apparently these mighty and brave warriors don't have much interest for her goods. Cataleya ignores them unless one of them talked to her. She told them the same things over and over, because she always got the same questions:
,,Where is the next tavern? I need to do a quest here!"
or:
,,What do you sell?"
and sometimes:
,,You're pretty! Got a boyfriend?"
She was glad if they leave her alone. The people frome the village were a lot nicer. In fact, they were too nice. The adventures who come by all the time sell basicly garbage for way to much gold to the merchants. Not to mention that not all, but a great number of them even broke into peoples houses to steal anything of value.
*sassy pant*
,,This is why we can't have nice things. They would find and steal it anyways... Unbelievebale that no one bats an eye. They just blindly accept their fates and restock everything they've lost. Just to have it stolen again! I don't understand why we don't at least try to fight against this injustice.."
In heart Cataleya knew exactly why they didn't try to fight back. Adventures are strong. Much stronger than them. They have better armor, are faster, have better weapons and most important: Skills and levels. Something that Cataleya and the people of Aon never could even dream of. None of them can't get stronger, even if they tried. That is why.
Lost in thoughts, Cataleya strolled into the forest shortly after leaving Aon.
,,I wonder what I'll find today, I need to sell more herbs if I don't want to go hungy again..."
She sighed as she walked deeper into the woods.
