Marlene's body trembled as someone noticed her presence. She buried her face deeper into Ruby's hand and reluctantly raised her head.
Ruby gently stroked Marlene's back, flowing magic that could calm her frantic heart. "Yes. This little fox is my pet, but she's so shy that she's unhappy when she meets people."
The soldier didn't think much of the little fox in Ruby's hand. Aside from looking harmless, the soldier was used to seeing nobles keeping wild animals.
Fifteen minutes later, the soldiers finished checking their ID plates and opened the gate for them. "Welcome to Tredo Kingdom, Your Majesty. Hope you can have a good time in this place."
The soldiers bowed their backs before Matthew and Ruby. Although they still considered Matthew a threat, their vigilance toward the lycan king was slightly reduced after interacting directly with Matthew.
