"Oh, about that. Greysen was just bragging. He doesn't put spies inside the Veritas Palace." Liviana emphasized, "I've spied on everyone in Veritas, and none of them look suspicious."
"Huh?" Ruby tilted her head, feeling confused by Liviana's words. "Yet, he was able to figure out my magical abilities."
Liviana sat on the chair and said, "Do you remember the one who controlled Magnus' mind in Trigas City? He might have been able to detect your magic after you tied the thread of your destiny with that wizard."
Ruby frowned, "You mean Greysen has a connection with that person?"
Liviana shrugged. "Maybe. I think that's the most reasonable guess."
If Ruby thought about it further, it did make sense for Greysen to be in cahoots with the person who wanted to destroy Veritas. However, why would the person controlling Magnus suddenly become a soldier in the Imperial Palace?
Could the emperor also have a special relationship with Greysen?
