"Wait here for a minute," Matthew asked Ruby to sit on the chair in front of the fountain. "I'll buy you Arbei cakes at the bakery, and then we can head straight home."
Ruby smiled. "Don't take too long."
Matthew stroked her hair and handed Ruby the wooden box containing the dagger. "I'm not. Just shout if anything happens to you, and I'll come to you immediately."
She nodded quickly. "I'll be fine."
The bakery was just a few meters away from where Ruby was sitting. However, Matthew did not want his wife to walk too long as her legs were already starting to hurt.
Besides, Matthew had already checked the neighborhood around Ruby and ensured there were no people with strong magic in the Imperial market.
After making sure his wife could sit comfortably, Matthew walked quickly toward the bakery. He didn't want to let Ruby wait too long and get bored.
Ruby, on the other hand, bowed her head while swinging her legs that could not tread the ground due to the chair being too high.
