Ruby stretched her body as soon as she woke up. When she looked out the window, she saw the sun was almost overhead, a sign that she had woken up too late that day.
She covered her face, feeling embarrassed for not waking up earlier when many guests were at her residence. Moreover, Oscar was probably waiting for her and wondering why his sister hadn't come to see him.
Ruby got up from her bed and walked toward the mirror. As usual, Matthew always cleaned her body before she woke up, so Ruby could wake up with a clean body. However, there was something that concerned her.
Her neck and shoulders were covered in red marks that contrasted vividly with her fair skin. She smacked her forehead and protested, "Why does he always like to bite me."
Ruby didn't worry too much about those red marks on most days because the servants were used to seeing them when they helped Ruby bathe and get dressed. However, she had to meet her brothers that day.
