Ruby was confused because she felt like all the evidence and witnesses who had testified earlier were enough to conclude the trial. But why was there still another witness?
After all, were there any other witnesses related to the case?
While Ruby was still thinking hard, Alger suddenly spoke up after he got a note from a soldier, "However, this witness is related to another case, which is about Marquess Barnette's first son, Sir Taylor Barnette, who had attempted to murder his brother, Oscar Barnette."
Ruby opened her eyes widely, not expecting Oscar's name to be mentioned in court. She immediately turned her gaze toward Lucas as if she wanted to ask if that was the surprise Lucas had intended earlier.
However, there should be no witnesses who saw Taylor kill Oscar directly. Ruby even assumed Taylor killed Oscar while they were training, as Taylor would usually force Oscar to fight him even if he was already seriously injured.
