"Do you also want me to leave you alone for a while?"
Ruby shook her head quickly. She placed the teacup on the table and hugged her husband tightly. "I want to be with you."
Ruby might not be able to calm her mind when other people were in the room, but she always felt comfortable whenever she was alone with Matthew. She even felt her mind was less chaotic once she hugged her husband.
"Alright, I won't leave you," Matthew replied as he pulled Ruby's body so that he could hug his wife tighter.
Ruby sat on Matthew's lap, trying to tuck herself as small as possible into her husband's embrace. She buried her face into Matthew's broad chest, feeling the warmth that began to run through her entire body as Matthew's big hand wrapped around her petite body.
"Do you know what surprise Lucas will show us in court?" Ruby asked suddenly. Although she didn't want to discuss the court anymore, the curiosity in her heart was too high.
