Matthew touched Ruby's forehead and gently stroked her hand, ensuring she didn't have a high fever from the shock. Besides Matthew, Linora was mixing powdered medicine in a porcelain bowl.
Ruby lay on the soft sofa, her body covered by a thick blanket so she wouldn't shiver from the cold. Due to her dizzy head, Ruby was only able to open her eyes slightly and see Matthew vaguely.
"Is my pregnancy okay, Miss Archer?" asked Ruby in a weak voice.
Linora held Ruby's hand tightly as she smiled. "Your pregnancy is fine, Your Majesty. However, your body is in shock, so you are feeling weak."
"I'll give you a sedative so your mind becomes calmer," Linora continued.
Ruby only nodded in reply. She felt too lazy to speak as her mind was still filled with Ariana Barclay's name. She even could still remember when Ariana brought her food when the Marchioness wanted her to starve.
