Ruby left Trigas City when the sun had not yet risen. She waved her hand to Cordell and Count Lyndone, who witnessed their departure.
Count Lyndone's face looked gloomy when he heard that Averly still wanted to be Ruby's assistant in the palace and refused her father's demand to return to Rigan City.
"Are you sure you don't want to go home with your father?" Ruby asked Averly.
Although Ruby had only been separated from Averly for a few days, she felt as if they had been apart for so long. Moreover, Ruby also kept worrying that her assistant might not survive these past few days.
"Sir Bournee has hired me as your assistant, so I can't just leave," Averly replied.
Averly's expression was still as flat as ever, and the intonation of her voice also sounded unfriendly. However, the yellowish color emanating from her heart made Ruby sure she was happy that she had finally recovered and followed Ruby back to the palace.
