Children tend to remember promises better than adults. Therefore, they were sure that Edda would continue to demand their promise if Matthew did not reunite her with her mother soon.
However, Matthew had no plans to lie. "Ask the servants to dress up Mrs. Norvella's body and cover her face with some makeup. At least we must let Edda say a proper goodbye to her mother."
Viscount Castillo and Ruby agreed with Matthew's words and thought it was the best decision for Edda.
