Thanks to Matthew's threat, Holden and Xylon had hidden their whereabouts very well. Ruby couldn't even find them despite trying to move her eyes in all directions.
"You won't be able to find them." Matthew laughed. "The Royal Knights were trained very hard so that they can blend into the shadows and make no sounds when they move."
Matthew grabbed Ruby by the waist, then helped her get up onto the seat next to the coachman while he sat on the coachman's seat.
Ruby furrowed her brow as she felt the seat was hard and uncomfortable. Ruby thought it was like she's gotten so used to being pampered by Matthew that she could no longer live a hard life.
Even the horse-drawn carriages she used to ride in were always filled with lots of soft cushions and thick blankets, the seat was very different from the rock-hard seats of freight carriage.
"Are you feeling uncomfortable?" Matthew asked as he sat down next to Ruby.
Ruby shook her head softly. "I'm fine."
