Before Ruby's horse had even set foot in the clinic, Matthew had already approached her with an annoyed expression.
Matthew didn't even say anything as he dismounted Ruby from the horse, then picked her up and walked toward their tent.
"Matthew put me down. I can walk by myself." Ruby struggled in Matthew's arms to make her husband put her down.
Matthew still didn't want to talk; he even turned his face away from Ruby and annoyed Ruby.
"Matthew!" Ruby exclaimed quite loudly once they reached the tent. "Why do you act like this?!"
Matthew finally sat Ruby down on the bed. He rested his hands on the edge of the bed and gave Ruby a sharp look. "Shouldn't I be the one asking that?"
Ruby frowned. "Did I do something wrong?"
As Ruby recalled, she hadn't even spoken to Matthew and hadn't said anything annoying since he left her.
