GASP.
Ruby gasped for air when she woke up from her long dream. She sat up in bed and narrowed her eyes slightly when she saw the sunlight entering the gap in the tent.
Ruby held her cheeks with trembling hands and realized tears were still falling from her eyes.
Everything she witnessed in the dream felt so real. She could smell the scent of blood through her nose, hear the screams of the humans trying to escape Matthew, and witness Rubelia's death right before her eyes.
She wiped her face, then moved her head to look for Matthew. However, Ruby found no one else but her in the tent.
[Maybe he was already working outside.]
When Ruby peeked out of the tent, she saw the sun was already shining brightly, indicating that it was already noon. It made Ruby feel bad that she had woken up too late when people started working in the morning.
However, Ruby didn't worry too much about that anymore when her mind was filled with Matthew.
