Ruby held her head, which felt a bit sore from reading too many patient reports given by Averly. Currently, more than four hundred patients have come to the clinic, and Averly has only submitted fifty patient reports.
However, fifty reports alone already gave Ruby a headache. The night was getting late, but the candlelights in her room were still burning brightly.
Matthew was helping the soldiers set up additional tents, so Ruby was the only person in the room.
Ruby's vision looks increasingly blurry as the candles on her table dim. However, Ruby still didn't want to sleep because she wanted to read the entire report thoroughly.
Unfortunately, the sleepiness that hit Ruby was more potent than her curiosity. She put her head on the table and slowly closed her eyes.
Without Ruby noticing, she forgot to close the window in her chamber, so a cold wind blew into the room and blew away some of the scattered papers on the table.
"Why are you always being reckless?"
