A girl ran fast toward the orphanage gate. Her skin looked very pale, and Ruby could see that there were many colors that showed fear and sadness in her heart.
"Naya, what's wrong?" asked Cordell; he seemed to know the girl.
Naya sobbed, tears rolling down her cheeks. Her expression was frightened, and she even stuttered as she said, "P-Please, help my brother."
"What happened, Naya?"
Naya didn't answer right away because she kept crying and sobbing until Ruby finally knelt in front of Naya and held the girl's hand. "Naya, calm down."
Ruby's magic was able to calm Naya's frantic heart, making the girl stop sobbing and become calmer.
Her watery eyes stared straight at Ruby, as if she were dropping her hopes on Ruby.
