Even though Ruby had told Alger that she would open a consultation to appease the palace workers, no one came to her office that day.
Maybe they were too skeptical of Ruby and thought the queen was just playing with the position she had just gained. However, Ruby didn't feel offended at all. Besides, if no one wanted to visit, then Ruby didn't need to bother expending her magical energy.
"Your Majesty, it's time for lunch," informed Dena. "You'd better read the letters again later."
While opening the new letter, Ruby asked Dena, "Is His Majesty going to eat in the dining room today?"
"I do not think so. When I was going to get your tea in the palace kitchen earlier, I saw Sir Diaz and Sir Holden going to His Majesty's room. Their facial expressions were serious, so I assumed they wanted to discuss something important with His Majesty."
Ruby nodded, then gave the order. "Then just bring my lunch over here."
