Ruby turned her head towards the cave branch. The cave they visited had five different branches, and Matthew had not yet returned after entering the first branch.
Ruby's heart became frantic; she worried that Matthew would be dealing with something dangerous in there to the extent that he could not return.
What if more snakes were in the cave, and Matthew got bitten by its venom?
Could the venom paralyze Matthew's body?
Ruby decided to wait for Matthew in front of the cave branch. She couldn't even sit up as her heart was filled with great worry.
"Your Majesty, you have been standing for half an hour. Your feet might hurt if you stand any longer." Dena tried to persuade Ruby. "How about you just sit back and wait for His Majesty?"
