Under the dim candles, Ruby could see the contrast in his handsome face. The two golden eyes looked sharp and firm, just like the eyes of a wolf that had locked its target. But there was also a gentleness on his flawless face, making him look like a tame wolf that wouldn't prey on brutality.
This face was a perfect amalgam of the divine holiness and devilish cruelty, simultaneously making Matthew seem friendly and cruel.
"Milady, I have heard of what happened to you." Matthew's low voice rang in Ruby's ears and stunned her for a few seconds.
"As an honored Lady, you must feel that the people of your kingdom have dropped your dignity." Matthew put one hand under his chin and said, "If you want to keep your honor, then I have an offer that can benefit both of us. Would you like to hear it, Milady?"
Without hesitation, Ruby immediately nodded her head. If Matthew could save her pride from destruction, then there was no harm in listening to the man's offer.
Matthew then handed a piece of paper to Ruby and said, "Give me an heir, and I will enthrone you as the Queen of the Veritas Kingdom."
Instantly Ruby's whole body froze. The two hands holding Matthew's agreement letter continued to tremble non-stop while her ruby eyes flashed a deep sense of shock.

Ruby pinched her arm hard. Pain then ran through her arm and made Ruby wince a little. It suddenly made Ruby realize that she wasn't dreaming.

When Ruby was panicking, suddenly she saw a palm stretched out in front of her. "If you want to say something, just write it on my hand."
Ruby gasped and immediately shook her head quickly.

However, Matthew grabbed Ruby's hand and forced her to touch his palm instead. "Quickly write it down. I don't have much time."
Under Matthew's fierce gaze, Ruby was finally forced to write her thoughts on Matthew's palm. "Your Majesty, I don't have any quality to be the Queen of your kingdom."
Matthew raised his right eyebrow. "Why?"

After looking down for a long time, Ruby finally dares to raise her head again. Ruby felt surprised when she saw the color of Matthew's chaotic feelings gradually turn white.
