Ruby pretended to cough to break the awkwardness between her and her brother.
"I'm sorry to keep you waiting." Ruby sounded apologetic as she tried to make an excuse, "The bedroom was a bit of a mess earlier."
After they yelled and embarrassed themselves, Ruby made Oscar wait outside the door for almost half an hour. She didn't want Oscar to think badly of her, but would anyone have a positive thought after being banned from a couple's bedroom?
Oscar laughed. "Why should you be ashamed? You're a married couple." He continued, "I'm the one who should be sorry for bothering you. But isn't it weird for you to do it in the middle of the---"
"No! No! We didn't do anything bad!" Ruby immediately shoved Oscar out of the room. "Let's talk somewhere more comfortable."
Before they left, Oscar said, "Oh, I didn't come here to talk, but I want to show you something."
Ruby stopped. "What is it?"
