The journey to the house wasn't too far, but the thick snow along the way made it difficult for Ruby to walk. She nearly fell several times because she could barely lift her legs.
Not wanting his wife to struggle, Matthew bent over and said, "Climb on my back."
With no intention of refusing, Ruby immediately jumped on Matthew's back and smiled broadly because she finally didn't have to struggle to walk in the snow. "I'm not too heavy for you, am I?"
Matthew threw her body once before answering, "Not at all."
Ruby watched Matius's back, who was walking in front of them, and couldn't help but marvel at his resemblance to Matthew. If only their eye color were the same, Ruby probably couldn't distinguish them.
After walking for a few minutes, they finally arrived at a wooden house nestled among the dry trees. The house wasn't big, but it looked like a comfortable place to stay.
