Edgar even experienced difficulties trying to avoid the golden dragon's attacks. In the end, Edgar chose to flee—a layer of ice formed under his feet, allowing him to run above the ocean.
He decided not to look back because he didn't want to witness the golden dragon destroy the fishing boat and make all the humans sink to the bottom of the ocean.
"That ship never returned to Tredo for days, so everyone on the Tredo Coast concluded that we would never return." Edgar sighed. "To hide my identity, I returned secretly and only came out when the night came."
Nevertheless, some people saw Edgar wandering on the beach. Instead of thinking Edgar was a survivor, they thought he was a ghost who still held a grudge.
