It was now the morning of the next day since Drak learned of the tournament he would compete in within the next year.
Up until a while ago, he had been stumped on what kind of training he could do at the moment, while he does have a fitness regiment that he follows, it only consists of exercises to get him in shape and give him a good body for fighting.
Due to his body only being as developed as a 6-year-olds, no matter how tall or lean he was, there were limitations to what he could do when it comes to wielding actual weapons.
It was currently the morning, so he was sitting with his parents and two siblings while eating his breakfast which consists of deer meat and nothing else.
Orcs do not believe in what they call, "green prey food", or as humans call it, vegetables.
Although he didn't have the greatest of diets in his past life, Drak at the very least knew about the merits that come with a balanced meal.
However, he would have to wait until he was older to where he could go out into what he would assume is a forest outside of the cave and get vegetables.
...
Leaving those thoughts aside, Drak decided to pull up his status panel and see if it would work yet.
The reason it wasn't working was unknown to Drak, whenever he would pull up the status panel by either saying, "status" out loud or in his head, all that would pop us it this.
[Name: Drak]
[Race: Orc]
[Clan Affiliaion: Dire Wolf Clan]
[Overlord: Bloodaxe Clan]
[The rest of your status is blocked until further notice.]
'Ugh, what is wrong with this thing!' thought Drak
'Huh, what's this? Clan affiliation and Overlord?'
'What the hell.'
'Let's see if I can get more info from tapping on it like the old status panel'
Drak tapped on the Clan affiliation tab first to see if some more info would pop up, and what do you know, it did.
The second he clicked on the tab, a stream of information like what he used to get in his past life, entered his head.
...
[Clan Affiliation, refers to what orc clan you were either, born into, or the clan that you founded.]
[In Orc society, clans are everything, you have prestigious clans, lowly clans who are on the brink of extinction due to only having one member left, or you can have specialized clans that serve a purpose within the greater collective called a tribe.]
[Some examples would be, warrior clans who only foster great Orc Warriors, their whole purpose is to raise their members and evolve as many times towards an evolution more oriented toward fighting. One of the evolutions that these types of clans value the most is called, Orc Knights, a 5th tier evolution from the swordsman and spearmen lines mainly.]
[Other clans may be more geared towards a production job or support, for example, blacksmith clans, these clans value the line of craftsmen orcs, more specifically the blacksmith branch.]
[To put this in perspective, all orcs no matter who they are, no matter how old, what gender, non of that matters, they will all evolve from regular orc to an orc fighter, even support or craftsman clans, this is because of the innate nature of orcs to fight in battles, hence, all orcs no matter what have at least some combat abilities.]
[As an example, you the host are part of the Dire Wolf Clan, a new clan that was established by your father after his older brother inherited the tribe chief position.]
[The first son almost always inherits that spot of the head of the clan upon the father's death, however, if the said son doesn't have a son or daughter of their own, then it will switch to the second son and so on until it reaches a son with offspring, this system is ingrained in the mana that makes up the orcs DNA.]
[Although your father broke away from the ruling clan and made his own, you are not a cadet clan or anything like that, all connected to the "father clan" breaks upon the founding of a new clan by a younger son. This isn't always the case however, not all younger sons or even daughters have the chance to make their own clans, this is only allowed if the head of their birth clan allows it, or if the orc wants to make their own clan bests the clan head of his birth clan in battle, after that, a magical process will happen and the orc in question will gain a new clan mark.]
[Clan marks are birth tattoos of sorts that brand themselves on the founder and all of their later descendants. these tattoos only appear on children born into the clan, so they will not take their mother's clan mark, the reason for this is unknown.]
[The only way for a female orc to pass her clan mark to their children is if they procreate with a younger son of another clan, or a clanless orc, however, those are rare as they would need to be banished and a magical process will remove the mark form them. the reason a younger son procreates with the female head of a clan is theorized to be because the status of the female is higher than the male, much of the mechanics behind the clan system is unknown as it was not a man made thing but rather a product of natural evolution over the years for orcs.]
...
'Holy crap that was a lot of info' thought Drak
'So, to sum it up, I guess clans act as sort of noble houses for orcs, but then again, almost all orcs are a part of a clan.'
'So that means only the main family along with the clan head are the nobles huh, interesting.'
'I wonder how my father clan got its name?' thought Drak
Finished with his thoughts, Drak swiftly clicked on the Overlord tab.
This was something he really wanted to learn about, one of the main reasons being the clan who is his supposed overlord, the Bloodaxe clan.
...
[Overlord clans work as the royal family in a sense in Orc society.]
[To be more specific, due to the tribal system of the orcs, the overlord clan are the ones who rule over the tribe as chief, or in some rare cases, High Chief, but that information is unavailable at the moment.]
[The current overlords of your tribe are the Bloodaxe clan, with its head, your uncle, being the chief of the tribe]
[Most orc tribes are named after the geographic surroundings, so when a new clan comes into power, the name of the tribe doesn't change, in the case of your current tribe, there has been a total of 12 different clans in power over the past two centuries.]
...
Although the second flood of info was short and sweet as opposed to a long list of things like the previous bit, Drak was still easily able to understand all that he learned.
One thing that surprised Drak was how there had only been 12 clans in charge over the past two centuries, knowing the general nature of orcs, based off of the ones he faced in portals, one would think that every time a chief dies there would be a civil war.
Now that his curiosity had been quenched, Drak came out of the daze that he had entered prior to when he gained the info.
"Hey boy, what are you staring off into space for?" grunted Grak his father
Realizing that he was still with his family and eating, Drak's attention immediately came back to the area around him.
"Sorry, I was just thinking of ways to train," responded Drak
"Haha, my son is already thinking of how to get stronger, I can't wait for the tournament!" boomed Grak
"Grak! you weren't supposed to say anything!" said Anika, Drak's mother
"Sigh, forget that, have you been going to the shaman as I told you to?" asked Anika in a stern voice
"Yes mother I have, all the old crony has said is these tattoos contain what she calls mana," replied Drak while feigning ignorance to the topic of mana
'Of course, she felt mana, I can feel the mana that I used to use to control my lightning' though Drak
'If only I can somehow tap into that power, damn it!'
Drak had been trying nonstop at night to tap into his old power of lightning control, if he was successful, this would give him an undeniable edge over the other orcs.
Although they have tough skin that is slightly magic resistant, lightning can pass through that and affect the internal organs of orcs and other creatures.
It's not like Drak was going t slaughter the whole tribe out of some duty that he still felt from his past life, no, in fact, he was going to use them and try to find a way to get revenge, or at the very least, live a good life as an orc, and that means gaining power!
*Grunt* "I don't know why you still send the boy to that old bat, she's obviously not in the right mind, just like all shamans." Said Grak in between grunts
"That may be, but there is no denying that she is the best shaman this tribe has seen in all of its time," responded Anika in an annoyed tone
"Father, I would like to learn how to wield a weapon," said Drak out of nowhere
"Haha, great idea, although you are only 1 you still need to be prepared for the tournament." laughed Grak in a booming voice
Suddenly a voice sounded out from behind the family
"If that's the case, why don't we have our sons spare with each other to gauge their starting abilities, what do you say little brother?"
"Oh, Tarnuk, it's great to see you, and sure, that sounds like fun!" boomed Grak enthusiastically
That's right, the orc to walk into his family's living area was no other than Drak's uncle and the chief of the tribe, Tarnuk, head of the Bloodaxe Clan.
"Father, why would I need to spar with this lesser being." grunted what could only be the chief's first son who was the same age as Drak
"Oh, hello Tarnak, scared to get your ass kicked?," replied Drak with a devilish smile, his two newly formed short bottom tusks showing.
"HOW DARE YOU FILTH-
Bam!
"Shut up boy! Just because you are my oldest child doesn't automatically make you the heir!" roared Tarnuk at his son
"Sigh, I'm sorry for my idiot son's behavior," said Tarnuk with a facepalm
"What did I say, wrong father, we orcs only care about strength, and so far that good for nothing hasn't shown anything!" yelled Tarnak while pointing at Drak
"Why you!"
Just as he was about to smack Tarnak again, Drak spoke up.
"It's okay uncle, he hasn't said anything wrong, in fact, I wish to prove my strength in front of the whole tribe, how about it Tarnak," said Drak with that same devilish smile
Completely unaware as to what was about to happen to him, Tarnak immediately agreed.
"Ha, yes, let's do that, father, can you arrange the whole tribe so they can watch as a pound this piece of shit into the ground!" said Tarnak excitedly
Tarnuk shrugged his shoulders and looked towards Grak.
Although he was the chief, he still respected his younger brother's opinion, not only because they were family, but due to his strength.
Seeing Tarnuk look at him, Grak nodded with a smile.
So, with a sigh, Tarnuk agreed to the request, the reason why he signed was that he was sure that Drak wasn't being cocky for no reason, he suspected that his loser son was about to take the worst beating of his pathetic life.
And that he did.
The whole tribe had gathered in the center of the cave system where they inhabit and they made a circle in anticipation to see the fight between the eldest son of the chief, and the son of the strongest orc in their tribe.
As the two young orcs entered the encirclement, Drak had but one thought going through his head.
'I'm going to enjoy pounding this pompous brat's ass, once I'm done he won't be able to walk for a week at least.'
'hold on that sounded wrong'
Once the two fighters were situated, the referee who was a neutral orc (not belonging to any clan) roared to signal the start of the fight.
Right out the gate, Tarnak ran towards Drak in an attempt to pin him down.
Easily side-stepping the foolish charge, Drak took the opportunity presented to him, and he slammed his elbow down onto the back of the brat who charged past him.
When the elbow made contact, Tarnak immediately fell hard to the ground making a thud sound as dust kicked up around him due to the impact.
While the orcs of the tribe were surprised to see an attack so powerful from a 1-year-old, Grak was cheering for his son, and Tarnuk was shaking his head in disappointment.
"YOU!" yelled Tarak as he got up from the ground
"I will kill you and your whole family once I become chief!" he roared as he tried another futile charge
Deciding that he wanted to have some fun with the boy, Drak let Tarnak latch on to his waste.
"Haha, I've got you now, time to go to the ground!"
"H-huh? why aren't you falling!" yelled Tarnak as he used all of his strength to try and drop Drak
"I don't know, maybe you are just too damn weak? said Drak as he kneed Tarnak in the gut
"Ahh!" cried out Tarnak in pain
"Ha, you think that's it, guess again loser!"
Drak started punching continuously at Tarnak, hitting his chest, ribs, arms, and even a couple of jabs to the head.
"Ahhh, I'll kill you!"
"I'll kill your whole family, mark my words, ill chop them up slowly and dump their remains in the forest, starting with those bastard siblings of your-
BOOM!
"Don't you dare say another fucking word pig!" roared Drak as he punched Tarnak so hard that he fell and made an indent into the cave floor
Tarnak rolled over and started spouting more empty threats
"Hahahaha, that's right, ill chop them up as you and your parents watch, then ill hang your father from his arms and watch as they get pulled from his body!"
"Then il throw your whore mother into a group of horny orcs and watch as they violat-
Crackle
Pop
Crackle
"W-what is h-h-happening!" yelled Tarnak in horror as he watched the scene unfold in front of him
It would seem that after talking about doing unspeakable things to his family, Drak had finally snapped.
Although it would seem he has a short fuse, that was only when It came to his family.
Not only did he lose his wife and unborn daughter in his past life, but before that, his mother, the only one who raised him after his father died in the military years before, had been killed by a mugger who did... unspeakable things to her.
So, right now, Drak had just done what he wanted to for the past year, he unlocked his control over lightning, temporarily that is, it would seem the pure rage going through him allowed this power to unlock prematurely.
"Shit, he's an Elementalist!"
"Hahaha, I knew my boy was special!" boomed Grak in laughter as he watched his son and the purple tattoos glow on his body with electricity.
"Grak, this is no laughing matter! He is about to kill my son!" yelled Tarnuk as he ran towards Drak to stop him from doing something he'd regret.
That's right, Tarnuk was more worried about Drak being banished due to him murdering another child in cold blood than he was for his own son's wellbeing.
"Damn it you're right!" yelled Grak as he too rushed towards Drak
Before the two could get there, Drak who was in a trance-like state had already raised his hand with an attack ready.
And after a split second, he dropped his hand and launched the attack, which was a lightning blade, something that would shred through Tarnak's body with excruciating pain.
Both Grak and Tarnuk had gotten there in time to stop the attack from reaching its intended destination, the head, but they were too late to completely stop it, a weakened version still hitting Tarnak's arm, almost completely severing it.
"AHHHHH!"
all that could be heard was Tarnak's pained screaming, as Drak collapsed due to mana exhaustion.

Sorry about the info dump, I just had to get all of that taken care of early.
And thanks to all of you who have added this over to your libraries, hopefully once the vetting process is over, I can count in your votes?
