The next day was just as eventful for Kimi the moment that she had finished her initial warmup and exercises inside the Dojo.
She was just about to do some heavier training but was stopped by a girl that was a little taller and older than her.
The girl had blue eyes, long tied up straight black hair, her fringe were left long and were parted in the middle as they had hung at the side of her face, she was dressed in black training clothes and had lightly tanned skin with a little muscle on her slender body showing underneath her rolled up sleeves.
The girl had stepped in front of Kimi with a serious expression and knelt down in front of her. "I am sorry!"
The next moment, she had bowed deeply towards the ground as her head had touched the floor a couple of times. "I was wrong!"
It was the same girl as the day before who had been defeated by Kimi and had spent the night reflecting over her wrongdoings.
Unlike Koichi who was the Karate Master of the Karate Dojo, Mitsuwa had blue eyes but she had inherited many other similarities from his side of the family which had let her inherit the darker hair and other more noticeable traits.
There were a lot of similarities between them but Mitsuwa had far softer features due to being a girl and only being in her early teens so she had yet to fully mature.
She may have behaved poorly the day before but she still had a toughness and seriousness about her which had been further displayed during her apology to the point that her bowing for forgiveness had left a small red mark on her forehead.
While she had put on a large display to show that she was repenting seriously, it just left Kimi feeling a little awkward that Mitsuwa had gone that far when a simple apology was enough.
Kimi let out a light sigh and leaned over to grab the arm of Mitsuwa then pulled her upward to stop her from continuing. "Alright, that is enough. I forgive you. It was no trouble.. really.."
Kimi did not mind being challenged or called out since it allowed her and Growlithe to check their current states against more experienced people and Pokémon from a larger city.
While she had battled some minor trainers on her travels as Kimi or Luci, they were not high level trainers that could aid her growth in a big way.
Having some restrictions on combat and learning how to overcome new situations was another way to help improve her team especially when the opponent possessed a Pokémon that was a higher level than her own.
It was a challenge to be able to make Growlithe fight against Hitmonlee with her current state and without the aid of Kimi guiding her so Kimi was unable to let her get some unaided practice in battle at that time.
There had been times where Growlithe was battling without her aid in the past so that she could develop her own battle instincts and experience, that was intended to happen in the Dojo too against suitable opponents but Hitmonlee was too difficult for her.
Kimi wanted to win so she had to sacrifice the learning experience that could result in a loss for a sure win since the battle would affect her future treatment in the Dojo.
Once Mitsuwa was pulled up onto her feet, she had bowed again and said. "I am sorry for yesterday. Um.. I am Mitsuwa the niece of the Dojo Master. I am thirteen years old, I love karate and fighting Pokémon!"
Mitsuwa had remembered that she had failed to introduce herself properly the day before and during the first part of their meeting a moment ago so she had corrected her past mistakes. "Sorry for not introducing myself sooner. You can call me Mitsu if you want to!"
Kimi saluted her with her fist in her palm and bowed forward a little. "Nice to meet you Mitsuwa. I am Kimi and my main partner is my Growlithe as you have seen."
MItsuwa suddenly became more enthusiastic as she started to get more comfortable and started to ask questions. "Hey Kimi… how did you predict my attacks before and counter them so well? Growlithe did that too right? Tell me! Do you have some secret method?"
Kimi nodded in response. "Mm.. it is a secret method passed down from ancient times.. it is kind of like the methods for psychics but is more suited to martial arts."
Mitsuwa got hooked right away and stuck closer to her. "Oh? How cool! Tell me more! Can anyone train that method? What does it do exactly?"
Mitsuwa was very interested in how Kimi had been able to so easily defeat her and wished to figure out how she could replicate it so she had continued to ask Kimi lots of questions.
Kimi coughed. "There are limitations to this method if the body is weak so I want to train for now.. you understand right? I do not know if you have the qualifications to practice this method and we have only just met so… you should know about how some methods cannot be shared out so easily."
There was some truth in her words but Kimi had mainly wished to get back to her exercise and back into a more peaceful environment where she could focus on that.
Whether Mitsuwa had the qualifications to use Aura was still unknown and untested so she could not pass down the teachings that had been taught by her previous master to just anyone.
There was not a great deal that was known about Aura and there were too few Aura masters in the world.
They rarely found suitable people to pass down their methods or they just did not wish to do so.
There could be someone that was suitable to learn how to use Aura but would be found much too late that they missed the best time to begin training or there may have not put in enough effort to learn.
Rather than saying that it was the Aura method that very few knew about and going into more detail about it, Kimi had just left her explanation as simple as possible while describing it as an ancient training method that she did not have the authority to pass onto others.
If even one person that could use Aura within the Karate Dojo then it would be able to help the Dojo overcome their difficulties but Kimi did not have a reason to spread out the Aura training method.
