"Did you do it?" Sherman Gilbert, who was on the other end of the call, asked. Billy took another puff of smoke before replying, "Yeah I did. Took care of it yesterday."
"And?" Sherman asked, and Billy exhaled all the smoke into the air before answering, "Shit must have probably hit the fan by now. I'm assuming the first person he'll suspect is me, although he did go through the documents in order to make sure that there wasn't anything wrong. He shouldn't have any evidence to prove that it was all my doing."
"But he might still fire you," Sherman explained, and Billy shrugged. "I'm fine with it. But what'll our customers say?"
"You don't have to worry about all that," Sherman replied with a chuckle. "There's no way to survive in this business without having backup plans, after all."
